• Welcome to SC4 Devotion Forum Archives.

News:

The SC4 Devotion Forums are no longer active, but remain online in an archived, read-only "museum" state.  It is not possible for regular members to post or use the private messaging system, and no technical support will be provided for any issues pertaining to the forums in their current state.  Attachments (those that still work) are accessible without login.

The LEX has been replaced with SC4Evermore (SC4E), and SC4E maintains an active Discord server.  For traditional forums, we recommend Simtropolis.

Why do we have to jump through so many hoops to access the LEX. I've been a member for a while and don't understand why this is such an issue for such an old game &Thk/(. Anyway, my mail is jpalmer1967@yahoo.com. My user name is jpalmer1967. What do I have to do? It's no big deal if I don't get a response. I'll play something else.

are you registered for the LEX? You can use the same id as here, but a separate registration is necessary to see the download button.

hope this helps

It's certainly not a secrecy in any way. The login is there for a reason... in order for the LEX software to know who you are.
Otherwise such services as the download history and the BSC LEX Downloader wouldn't have been possible.

It would of course have been possible to use the download service included in SMF (forum software), instead of creating our own software for the LEX.
However, the SMF download was and still is far from adequate for the services we wanted and still want to provide.
Thus, two separate entities, two separate softwares and two separate registrations/logins. Don't think that's the end of the world though...

Did you want us to reset your password? Not quite sure if that was a request on your behalf...
