News:

The SC4 Devotion Forums are no longer active, but remain online in an archived, read-only "museum" state.  It is not possible for regular members to post or use the private messaging system, and no technical support will be provided for any issues pertaining to the forums in their current state.  Attachments (those that still work) are accessible without login.

The LEX has been replaced with SC4Evermore (SC4E), and SC4E maintains an active Discord server.  For traditional forums, we recommend Simtropolis.

will it mess things up in the game if two SC4LOTS have the same file name if i rename the other to something like example.sc4lot to example2.sc4lot (or with other SC4 file types) will it still work in the game??

The game doesn't care about filenames.  It uses the TGI to identify unique items.  If these lots share the same TGI, the last one loaded will be the only one the game uses.

For most lot files, the last part of the TGI is at the end of the filename.  Otherwise, you can use the Reader to check.

You can't have two files with the same name exist in the same folder regardless.
