SAM sidewalk modding

I've been trying for awhile to take the grass away from most of most of my SAM streets. Swamper's old uniform street sidewalk mod only applies to regular maxis streets and I don't want the multiple sidewalk textures from jeronij's. I guess the best way to go would be to mod it myself but peaking around at existing sidewalk mods hasn't given me the info I need.

Can anyone steer me in the direction I need to go to be able to get rid of grass on sidewalks next to plopped buildings? As a bonus, it'd be great to change all grass between traffic and sidewalks to the high-wealth texture. My region gets enough rain for nice green grass (though perhaps low-wealth sims living next to toxic industrial areas can keep there yellower stuff)  ;D

Thanks in advance

Maybe something like this from our friends in Japan.

I haven't used this one yet, but I have it ready...
Let us know how you get on and if it worth installing

Quickest way to do it yourself: Transit Texture Tutorial.  The issue is that the grass/sidewalks are included in the various network textures.  Basically you want to copy paste all of the 0x######0# Instanced textures out of SAM and then clone them seven times, increasing the instance by 0x00000010.  At that point, you will see road and your sidewalk mod.  After the pictures in that link you will see exactly what the 7th digit means, and can then work with that.

@ djp - Thanks so much for the quick response! Good 'ol hide 'n' seek  ;)   I installed the mod you mentioned and it did exactly what I wanted. It's modular so I later removed the SAM-7 part since I tend to use the black SAM streets in light residential areas--and I think I'll do the same to one of the red brick streets to reserve one for urban and another for suburban areas. Based on my experience so far I would highly recommend using that mod. Thanks again for sharing

@ Lowkee33 - Thanks for the reply as well. I play the game in a pretty slow-moving, "control-freak" style so I am very much interested in creating my own sidewalk mod--and perhaps even more importantly, the skills I develop doing something like that could apply to more advanced transit stuff eventually. I haven't had a chance to investigate yet because I wanted to thank djp before I got too distracted but I do appreciate your response and look forward to delving into the matter!
