G'Day Devotees,

Good news, The map-o-matic is heating up and burning through the backlog (I only have about 10 left ). I am still awaiting a reply from the Dirkinator about an increase in file size limits as Cuzco is 20MB and is 5MB over the current limit of 15MB. I don't really like hacking them up after I have completed them.

Thankyou Supremec, I hope you enjoy these next maps also.

Jayster, Thank you and you're welcome. Enjoy.

Thank you Kelis, it's been my pleasure.

Onwards ever onwards...

Todays first map was courtesy of a request from SlimShady, Thanks mate. I think I managed to get all your points of interest in. Looking again at some aerial pics I see I've missed some lakes in the west. I shall capture them and re-upload the file once I've finished this.

Winnipeg is 69.632km x 69.632km.

Not everywhere in Canada is hilly.

and moving right along the next map was courtesy of a request from Gitbi, Thanks mate.

Maputo is 65.536km x 69.632km.

Deep in the heart (well not quite the heart) of Africa.

Mayorfabz has been waiting for his other map to arrive... And finally it has, Thanks mate.

Kaohsiung is 49.152km x 36.864km.

This has been rotated 52o counter clockwise and the harbour aligns east-west.

I decided to also make it normal.

Kaohsiung is 53.248km x 53.248km.

And add the toothy stuff into the mix.  ;)

This last map for today was requested by Haircarehustler, Thanks mate

Nürburgring-Nordschleife is 8.192km x 6.144km.

Don't fall off Green Hell.

Until next time, that's it I'm afraid.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Cheers

Keep in mind he said the rendered view is old and that it does go further east. If I put together my map properly, the region does go 10 miles east of Stapley and Gilbert, although it still cuts out Apache Junction beyond Signal Brute Rd.
alright. why does it pay of to read instead of just look at pictures? that aint fair. &sly haha thanks for the heads up.

... really, it is. I swear.

G'Day Devotees,

Strueth, I didn't realise just how large my backlog had got. Anyhow I obviously fibbed in my last post as I'm now down to about a dozen. The map-o-matic has been put on double shifts to deal with this.

Now for the mail.

Because GMT pictures lie, the little heathens and I still have not had time to re-render it.  $%Grinno$%

Thanks Supremec, fancy a lap?

Thanks Slim and you're welcome. As you know I did update the map.

Today we have a show.

And in no particular order, the first map up today is courtesy of a request from Bigro at Simtrop. Thanks mate.

Victor Harbor is 61.44km x 40.96km.

So named because some charlie couldn't spell.

Next another couple off the request list courtesy of Ctrl+Z, Thanks mate.

Barcelona is 65.536km x 61.44km.

Bilbao is 53.248km x 49.152km.

From one side of the country to the other.

Next along is a few at the behest of Marsh, Thanks mate. Nowhere in particular, just Greek.

Mytikas is 40.96km x 40.96km.

Aegio is 65.536km x 57.344km.

Agia Triada is 65.536km x 53.248km.

The next request is courtesy of Prod178, Thanks mate.

Atlanta is 57.344km x 61.44km.

Thanks for the Barcelona map, man!  &apls Now if I see somebody attempting to recreate the city (and the whole metro area) will be my idol for the rest of my lifetime. I'll try my hand recreating my own hometown when it hits the STEX/LEX.

Kergelen

Awesome maps!! &apls &apls
I like to see Barcelona, where I live. But it's better than only Barcelona and the metro area, it's a more extensive area with lots of mountains that I know.
Fantastic job

G'Day Devotees,

Well still no news yet about the stex limit so I am working on plan B for the larger maps if need be. Also I was hoping to have the Irish maps finished but I think someone took the aerial photos with an Irish camera!  ;) So instead I have the oldest request and the latest request.

Hopefully Tek the situation will be sorted out before too long, These size maps make up about 35% of my production. Thanks old mate.

Thanks Kergelen and welcome, with luck you'll see it soon. cheers.

On to a small show.

Today's number 1 map is courtesy of a request from old mate Things and it is from about 18months ago. Oops that taken a bit of time to find the escape hatch of the map-o-matic!

Lakes Entrance is 69.632km x 65.536km

The lakes are home to dozens of varieties of birdlife.

The last is Courtesy of a request from Biff, Thanks mate.

Rockland is 49.152km x 49.152km

Rockland Maine.

That I'm afraid is your lot for now.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Hello everybody again!

Thank you very much to dobdriver, for his excellent work.

I'm very grateful to our mate dob, for his dedication to my requests for Spanish maps.

I bring another request. Is a map of Costa Daurada central area, in Tarragona province, Spain.

The map is about 20x30 kms.

Thank you again and greetings from Spain!

G'Day Devotees,

I've just received some feedback concerning the stex throttle but no real news as such so Plan B has been swung into action like a well oiled machine. My larger maps (over 8MB) will be residing on my server for the time being until it is sorted out.

Drum roll please, you too can check out PLAN B and download a map or two.

Thanks Kelis, I had to increase the size of your map a fraction. By 1.3km in width  ;)

No trouble at all Ctrl+Z, my pleasure and you're welcome. Thanks mate.

Now it's on to a show that we go.

Up on the blocks is a map requested courtesy of Tangoboy, Thanks mate for your request and patience. Your other map will be arriving shortly.

Co. Mayo is 86.016km x 77.828km.

After wrestling with the irish camera I finally tricked it. As this map is large it is residing on Plan B.

I also found a little time to make a map from the stex map request list. Requested courtesy of By_myself_oscar, Thanks mate.

La Paz is 53.248km x 53.248km.

Feel like subjecting one's mountain goat sims to a little altitude sickness? This map tops out at 5700m and is also on Plan B.

Moving right along thanks to Kelis for this next map request. Thanks mate.

Bern is 24.576km x 20.48km.

When the gnomes of Zurich get tired perhaps they come here to relax? The map has been lowered 492m to bring the game water into play but it has not been compressed and the falls are accurate.

This next map is courtesy of a request by Ctrl+Z, Thanks mate.

Tarragona is 32.768km x 20.48km.

These Spaniards really love their marinas!

And last for today is courtesy of a request from Argyle at Simtrop, Thanks mate.

Spokane is 36.864km x 36.864km

Again this map has been lowered 494m to get some of the Spokane River into play. It has not been compressed but the general lie of the land is not conducive for game water.

Well that's another show done and dusted.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Wondering if I could get a map from my neck of the woods. Since its summer (here), lets do a beach map!

Worcester County, Maryland, USA
If possible, could you make the map include Ocean Pines and Berlin and rotate Ocean City so that the beach line is roughly north south?
thanks man!

Hello, a couple of months back a posted a request on the simtropolis request thread, but there's not much going on there at the moment, i attempted to make the region myself, but i don't think i quite had the skills, the hills were too exaggerated and i had problems with below sea level areas. I think your maps look amazing, so i was wondering if i could place the same request here

Quotehello,
i was just wandering if anyone would be intrested in throwing together a map of south east norfolk (UK), it's not essential and i will be perfectly happy without it, anyway here is a google maps link of the area:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=norfolk&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=12.270158,39.331055&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Norfolk,+United+Kingdom&ll=52.537944,1.558685&spn=0.394255,1.752319&z=10

and a topographic map from bing (i'm not sure if this will work outside th uk):

http://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=52.56156805366487~1.486805725098863&lvl=12&dir=0&sty=s&form=LMLTCC

ideally norwich would be on the top left, lowestoft bottom right and great yarmouth top right, but really any small part of the area would be wonderful. thankyou for reading, any reply would be appreciated.

thankyou again, john

I don't mind if you want to make it a bit bigger, ie; the broads (big lakes) to the north could also be included and it could go a little further south (genrally norfolk and north suffolk), anyway thankyou once more, john

EDIT:those links need changing

Tangoboy

wow!!! it's perfect, buddy!!!
I'm anxious for the rest of the request!!!
and I ain't angry of having waited so much, the result compensated!!!

Lovely work, your maps are some of my favorite to build off of.

I was wondering if I could request Berlin, in it's entirety (maybe on a smaller scale though, since that is such a large area?)?

A wiki page with lots of wonderful maps: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Maps_of_Berlin

Thanks so much!
