I see some changes...

...and am truly curious about some of them - namely the transition to a more overt presence regarding Subscribers. While I do agree that we have enjoyed a lot of great stuff courtesy of jeronij's generosity, and I also agree that it is past time we, as a community, give back monetarily, some things are a bit alarming. For example, the ubiquitous advertisements for subscribing to SC4D. Personally, I find them intrusive. Whose idea was it to have an advertisement after every single post?

Other than that bit which will undoubtedly open up a can of worms, I see the site has been given quite the visual overhaul. I like the nav bar along the left side, though the ability to collapse it to a less obtrusive size would be nice. The graphical representation of who is currently logged in is a nice touch as well. Overall, the new layout is very slick and clean. I like!

Patrick, you couldn't be more right! However not every post-post ad is subscription, some of it is adchoices, still a bit intrusive...

Just use the plus or minus buttons at the top of the screen ... see attached picture

The matter concerning subscriptions, and the ads, has been addressed, in large part, if not in full, here [link]. Hopefully that will keep the lid on the can. Otherwise, glad to hear your thoughts on the updates. It's still in progress, but it's getting there.

Also, in order to keep these threads all orderly, I'd suggest further posts be made in the upgrade announcement thread [link] which is less likely to be overlooked and will help prevent thread redundancies (and also for that purpose, I'm going to lock this thread).

If you wish, I can merge these posts in there.
