Right, as a trader, your markup on Life Neccessities is 25% and on Luxury its 40%.

Given that demand for Live Neccessities (Fruits/Vegatables, Meat/Fish, and Liquids) far exceed the local supply for it, what is produced by the farm goes directly into the market at a 20% margin for Adella. Adella, because her main profession is not a farmer, will have the following expenses: $2,200 caretaker, and $640 maintenance ($40 per plot.) Thats $2,840 a turn - her normal batch will produce $3,200 a turn without adding the potential bonuses, and that will be sold on a 20% margin. In any case, Adella turns a profit.

As for Nemanya, he now has a showroom and a stall. The Market Stall has no additional expenses. The showroom will have $600 general expenses ($600 per each 100 sq. meters) and $300 utilities ($300 per each sq. meters.) One of them will need an employee since Nemanya can only be one place at once, so thats another $2,200. Total, your businesses will run you $3,100 a month.

Now, the Market Stall can ONLY sell Life Neccessities, so you can only import/buy locally one of the 3 Life Neccessity products. Luxury Products can ONLY be sold in Showrooms, so your optics business would operate out of your showroom. $15,000 worth of optics will deliver $21,000 if all sold ($6,000 on 40% markup) profit, and the Life Neccessities deliver a 25% markup. Basically, it looks like you're going to be operating a profitable business :)

Nice, thanks for the awesome feedback.

Our decisions for the next turn:
-I will take another loan for $40.000 since I own more assets now

-$30.000 goes to the new Stall which I will call "Corner st, Liquids". I am maxing it out since you said that demand is very high for necessities (I suppose it means liquids, too)

-$10.850 goes to my "Woynitsch Optics", so I will have exactly $25.000 worth of goods in that store.

-$18.000 goes to Nick as the down payment. He'll receive the other $4.000 in Turn 13. BUT This transaction takes action during TURN 11, so I take profits in Turn 12

-All in all I should earn:
      Adella's salary: $1.800

Farm: 3.840-2.840=$1.000

Stall: 30.000*1.25 - 30.000{*1.05 (duty tax)} - 2.200 (worker) =$5300

Showroom: 14.174*1.4(already in inventory) + 10.850*1.4 - 10.850*1.05(Duty tax) - 900(FC) =$22.741(Normal scenario)

Expenses:1.800(Life necessities, Both) + 600 (Utilities, both) + 4.800(rate for both loans) + 2.000(Education, both) + 90(Adela's Tax)

Total:$30.841 - $9.290 = $21.551

*No duty tax for Necessities, got it!

Just a couple of things :)

1) There is no Duty Tax on Life Neccessities imports!

2) The showroom sales is assuming that your products get sold! Thats unclear as of yet - the formula will work that one out :)

3) The farm has a chance to produce 10-30% bonus which will be done this turn.

nemanjanv7

1) sorry you have mentioned that there were no taxes for LN but I forgot  :( . Of course Adella will give me market stall (or sell it for the remaining 4k owed to Nick the other turn)

2) I know they might not get sold (that's why I said Normal scenario - my Optimistic would've been better said). Is there a penalty for unsold items? I hope it will sell enough for me to max out NP again  ???

3) I could use a bonus. I took a lot of loans  &mmm ($100.000 in total)

I hope everything else is fine.

Hi, Ned fantastic update!

Love the new religion buildings. And my optics sits just across the church ;) . Nice

Still, you have forgotten to add another $10.850 (or as much as I had at that time) to Eyeware buyout. they were neither sold nor are they in my inventory. I am sure I had money as I borrowed another 40k, right? So my money is just sitting there and being wasted y inflation and life expenses. Can you please fix it? I quoted the decision from last turn ;) .

Also I couldn't find profits from Adella's new farm? Neither Nick Teller nor Adella's gained any income from the farm. What happened to the crops this turn?

You had bought stock for Optics last turn ($14175), which were sold this turn. I didnt add the new inventory because I figured you might want to change your mind as you have more money than you estimated lying around :) Whatever you order this turn, will be relfected in sales next turn!

As for the Farm, this is the first turn under Adella's ownership, so she harvests this turn, and her sales will be reflected next turn.

Cyclone1001

Hello, I'm asking about buying more property on North Main Street. Are there any plots for sale?

nemanjanv7

Hmh, You didn't understand what I meant.  :( Please check the factbook as I am trying to explain in more details  :)

Turn 10: Nick Terell purchased the land, and he in that very turn stored $3.200 to his inventory
Turn 11: He sold his stock for $3.840(20% more, as should be), BUT he did NOT store any new fruit, which is fine because he sold it to Adella. Then I looked in Adella's inventory and didn't find anything in inventory. So it means no fruit grew in Turn 11. Vanished value?  :o
Turn 12: Adella stores $3.200 and I guess is waiting for turn 13 to sell it

BUT If fruit grows only once a year (once in to turns) then expenses will always be bigger then income. Because:
Taken from "Files and Information thread".   Any character with a non-Farmer main profession will pay $40 a plot maintenance per turn, and will require to employ a caretaker for every 2,500 sq. meters of farmland.
2 turn per employee + 2 turns for maint. = 2*2.200 + 2*640 = $5.680 EXPENSES; $3.200 in 2 turn with markup is only 3.840.

But you also said: Each turn, a farmer will sell his produce to the local market at a markup for 20% from its value. Which means that fruit grows in both turns, hence fruit in Turn 11 got eaten by locusts? Nah, you would've made nice pictures of that unhappy event

So can you please check it again, because I think Adella is supposed to have those +$3.840 and $3.200 stored for the next turn.

I am sorry for being so boring on this project, I guess I'm really starting to bother you now, ain't I? But I Do think all the best of your work so far.  &cry2

So anyways If Adella gets the money from fruit she would like to buy a piece of 2x2 land with me (50:50) In either of this to areas.
If property near beach is available I would like 2x2. If not I will be satisfied with the land in between those to houses. I assume land is either 1.000/plot or 1.200/plot (4.000 or 4.800, right?) :)

You're Right! Adella shouldve grown the fruit last turn, and wouldve benefited from them this turn :) It will be rectified :)

I want people to be as passionate about this project as I am! Its great, really :)

All land alongside any paved or dirt road is available for sale :)

Anything north of Second Street is $1,000 a plot.

Cyclone1001

In which case, I would like to buy the 3x2 area along Main Street (the one between the houses). Its the open area just north of where nemanjanv7 highlighted.

nedalezz

The area (peninsula) east of Main Street is currently government land (they have plans for it ;) ), but the two other lands have been bought! Congrats Adella and Jackson!

nemanjanv7

Woohoo, we're back in business  :)
Adella and I will be equal shareholders of the newly acquired land. Just to be clear one more time: This will cost 2.000 Nemanya and 2.000 Adella and it is 2x2 plot or 400sqm.

As for inputs: Nemanya will buy eyewear for $12.400 and Adella will loan him $2.640(0% interest  :P ) plus any bonus that she got from fruit.

This turn I shall buy max Life necessity products. If possible, for you think the 2 undeveloped tiles of my land could have some grass to help beautify the area?  :)

nedalezz

Areameder: $18,722 - Your 100 sq. meter store is ready! Whats the plan for it? And dont forget about your stall :) (And I'll get you some grass on the land!)

David Darnell: $11,920 - You sold all of your stock last month, but you're still paying off your loan, which has added to your cost. Whats the plan? If you continue like this, you're losing a little bit of money every turn :(

Dave Davis: $75,395 - The most successful character in the game currently. Your business model has reaped immediate benefits, despite having to cover a $6,000 loan, amongst other high expenses.

Henk Garvei: $19,536 - With 2 businesses in operation, let me know how you want to distribute your orders!

Tyrone Harvey: $19,794 - Your farm has been unspectacular but steady :) Your income grows a little every turn. Time for an expansion perhaps?

Jackson Huxley: $13,970 - Your investment in land should certainly prove to be a wise one. Another wise investment, as a government employee, is to go to school! It costs $1,000 per turn, and after 8 turns when you graduated from the Rawa'a Primary School, your salary doubles!

Jordan Jordan: $22,790 - Go to school! I would encourage you to send your character to school, because his salary will double once he is done! Slow and steady growth of savings here.

Addison Martin: $2,824 - You are almost done with school! Just two more turns for the salary to double!

Alex Meade: $7,620 - Two more turns till the increase in salary!

Nick Terrell: $28,190 - After your character decided Trading and Farming was not the direction he wanted to go in, he's got quite a little bit of money to invest. Also, his last turn in Primary School is next turn, so the salary doubles soon :)

Adella Woynitsch: $1,820 - Good investments in land :) Now just have to finish up school to get that salary to double!

Nemanya Woynitsch: $2,410 - Got all your products ordered! Good choice with the Liquids!

Can I rent out that 1x2 parcel of land to others wanting stalls? I think maybe 4, possibly 5, could fit on it.

nedalezz

Its one stall per 1x1 plot :(

If its on the market, there is enough demand for Life Neccessities to warrant an NPC renting it out.

nemanjanv7

Mmm, land values are really skyrocketing  :D

Adella is really thrilled just because she knows she will be able to sell her farm for a lot of cash in a few years. I hope no crisis are gonna strike Dunya any time soon. That would really suck...

Also before land value grows even more Adella wishes to buy 1x1 plot behind WOYNITSCH OPTICS and 1x1 plot behind "Corner Street Liquids"
!!!
Please change the name - Teller co !!!
How much would that cost us? Not sure about land value price zones  &mmm

As for the imports, I am willing to take risk this turn and buy $30.000 of Luxury products (according to the factsheet everything that has been ordered in past few years has been sold, too. I hope bad luck won't follow me in turn 14. It's only 30k/50k anyways). The remaining $15.000 will be spent for liquids as according to the factsheet nobody else is importing liquids (I should've gotten a huge bonus according to the laws of supply VS demand  :P ).

Great update Ned (if I may call you that)  ;)

Michael Areameder: $16,735 – If you rent out your land to Adam Baker, you will receive an extra $500 per turn. Your store on Ed. Ezamsi St. is complete – right now, it's a default Grocery Store, and you are still operating your Market Stall.

Adam Baker: $16,900 – Assuming Areameder lets you rent out the land, you will have a location to set up your stall. You also have $16,900 (after calculating expenses and buying the Market Stall) to buy Life Necessity products with.

David Darnell: $10,315 – Slowly losing money! The loan ($2,400) is hindering your profits, and as it stands, you are running a losing business. Perhaps taking out another loan to increase the amount of Comics and Cards you can buy might help, considering you are selling your full inventory every turn.

Dave Davis: $102,871 – The richest man in Rawa'a! Your commercial fishing boat is turning in the profits as the market needs to eat! Let me know if you plan on spending that money on any other investments.

Henk Garvei: $19,894 – Profits every turn thus far! Tell me how you would like to split your investments in products between your Electronics store and the Life Necessities for your Stall.

Vic Harris: $17,900 – As a fisherman, you need boats! I messaged you about the types of boats and their specifications, let me know what you decide!

Tyrone Harvey: $21,041 – Your farm is producing as it should be. Perhaps you should look into expansion as there are quite a number of cheap lands inland that the government is willing to sell cheaply to turn into farmland.

Jason Huxley: $12,320 – Let me know if you'd like to invest in anything.

Jordan Jordan: $24,140 – Invest in your education! It will pay dividends.

Addison Martin: $2,154 – Your salary will double starting next turn!

Alex Meade: $7,430 – Your salary doubles starting next turn!

Nick Terrell: $28,540 – Your salary doubles starting next turn!

Adella Woynitsch: $3,670 – Let me know if you'd like to invest in anything!

Nemanya Woynitsch: $45,764 – Already the 2nd richest man in Rawa'a (other than the NPCS!) Noted about your acquisitions!

As more characters get involved (we have 2 this turn!), I really have to start putting aside the extra work and focus on the mandatory ones to keep this project going! So as a personal request, starting next turn, please check the information sheet and see how much money you have and what you'd like to invest in, as I won't be doing these types of overviews again   I will, ofcourse, double check everything, but it would help me a bunch!
