As I am a big fan of wild nature pictures, when I've seen the alaskan pictures in the 3RR region, I said : WOW : here is the perfection, where are the bears and the salmons...   :o
You finally used perfectly the Rapid river Kit from David (Orange_o), and the astonishing girafe's trees will be certainly the icing on the cake... I can't wait for the.... massive update... hold one's breath   :-[

Really fantastic
Yann

Big respect to your work Cédric, Champclause is the best example of your genius for detail!

My lovely guinea fowl  ::)

I am tired so I will use my poorest english   %wrd

Beautiful pictures as always, you continue to use these horrible pines  &sly so I put on the dropbox the conifers, I think they could easily replaced them as they mix well with (non-pines flora) much better than the 2 st set I uploaded.

Are they my bushes you plopped? I am waiting for your opinion regarding the size.

Speaking of size, ferns of the other guinea fowls are IMHO a little bit too big - good for filling the gaps  :D but maybe un-natural (what do you think about a 80% reduction?)

Last picture is a jewel, you have to compete with it.

This is the end, hold your breath and count to ten, feel the earth move, and then...

That overview of Champclause was truly beautiful. You're artistic skills and incredible detail continues to amaze and inspire me. Brilliant work!  &apls

Thank you, Cédric. I love snow. Maybe it's because I had only seen it four or five times by the time I was grown.

I'm pleased to know about the new "intuitive and patient" flora, too. :) I've searched endlessly for something - anything - that will be patient with my slow work and many mistakes.

Based on the color of Orange_o_'s Rapid River pieces, you are right in saying no transparency is needed. And they look stunning with carefully-placed rocks as all can see in your last two photos.

As always, looking forward to seeing more of your masterful work...

You never to cease to amaze me even one bit.

Thank you all !  ;)

If I was already overwhelmed by tasks to do , that's became worse & worse ...  $%Grinno$%

Well ... I'm sorry to announce that the « big One »  ,  which concerned Champclause , is adjourned sine die ...

A few pictures about what I'm working on ; the Gorges de La Sioule , fully seasonal :

In fact , I was working on 2 city tiles at the same time , one for Champclause , the other one for Gorges de La Sioule , when the VIP Team , as you have noticed , decided to be fully back ... with manchou as new guinea fowl ( Congratulations & welcome  Paul&apls )

So , considering the success of the first VIP  packs uploaded at Simtropolis ( and presented too for scrutineering to the LEX ) , we have projects ...  ;D

Orange_o_ is working to improve the Rapid River Kit before to  upload it , and we took that occasion to think about a new set of ground textures MMPs like Heblem's ones . You can see them on that picture , where I've resized one of them to use it as rural path :

Now , the next idea is to create a new MMP with a new rocky texture having 4 stages ( 1 bare and 3 with integrated rocks ) to ease and accelerate landscaping .

There will be also a new grassy ground texture MMP ( matching the PTM ones ) to diversify the riverbanks dressing of the Rapid River Kit . On that picture , I've destroyed the current riverbank dressing  , so you can see the borders of the river pieces ...

And on that other one , released with photoshop CS2 , the kind result we're aiming ...

Should be major improvements , without speaking about our others ... well ; secret projects , for the time being .  :P

Thank you for your visit ( and for having sent the picture in competition to the HoF !  ) , from all the guinea fowls !  :wings:

Cédric .

Hi,
first thanks for Your nice comment(s), the picture is a little teaser for my first MD here, i hope i can show more in only a few days, and only cause of Your fantastic work done with the rural pack.  ;D
Then again: it´s unbelievable, what You show us, what SimCity will become with Your work. And i´m happy to hear manchou will join Your team, i love his outstanding BAT-art, can´t build anything without his props  &apls
And: Your pictures are some of that kind i would like to see in an exhibition, this shows what computer art could be, and sometimes i´m really really sad only a few people of this community can have a look to Your fantastic impressive "paintings"...(Yours and Yann´s, to not forget his work in Your team). The most people think: "oh, they play a game", but this is nothing more a game what You are doing here, this is and will be pure art.  &apls  &apls  &apls

And at last: i hope, You´re well again, Your damaged foot will heal.

Thanks a lot, greetz, Carl

Great job, I am a faithful follower of the team. I am anxiously awaiting the release of the textures of the river and paths. I seem truly realistic and extraordinary. They are ideal for my landscapes.

Keep at it, with your extraordinary work.

Greetings.

Cali

I haven't followed as much as I would have liked to. But by and by this has to be one of the best MD's around. It is for sure one of the few that are still being updated and continuous. I applaud your hard work and dedication to the realism and artistic meticulousness that has gained so many followers and so much praise. Good Work sir. :)

Well I was debating on using seasonals in my region. But these pictures sold me on it.  :D It's a bit more work (having to plop everything at the same month) but I think It will be worth it. :)
