You understood it wrong I'm afraid: I really WANT to learn the method using alpha maps. Do you have this blurry touch I'm allways talkin' about at your trees? I don't think that's possible, 'cause I' ve done it the same way usually. But you've got a lot more know-how in this area, so maybe I was makin' a few mistakes all the time?

BTW: This is what I got. Just to show you my worst problem: Texture's to bright.

Actually, that's not too bad at all.  Bear in mind the game is fairly low resolution and any form of ¨fuzzy¨ edges will leave you with a black outline, as the game alpha channel is not that good (black and white and very few shades inbetween).
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it

Thanks for the kind words and thank you guys for helpin' me that much.
jrj: Nice texture, I'll definitly try it. Thanks.
callagrafx: Ok, if it's not shown in game, I wont keep on usin' this technique. But on LOTs they're working sometimes... Why?

I think this is the right place to write about my newest problem.
I made a tree with a special software and want to texture it in Max. Works fine so far, except the leaves. The texture ain't show up. UVW Mapping is BOX.

No need to, I just merged it into a new scene and it works now. Don't ask me why, maybe my pc was a bit overloaded because there were many programs running. :D
Thnaks anyway.
