@John (Darmok) - That "ghost" posts happened to me all the time, specialy at ST, very anoying isn't it? $%Grinno$% Thanks for dropping by and thought about linking me to this CJ/MD. Unfortunately, besides still being able to open this region, with the increasing times of the game crashing to the desktop when opening, made me decide to re-new the plugins folder. After a week, and many hours looking for and downloading, I think I have a decent but still un-complete plugins folder (1.43 Gb) ;D I'm still missing a few small things, and also most of the good gems from the other side of the earth (Japanese lots and others like). I've downloded them, but I'm going to edit all and change names and other small details necessary, to have a clean pugins folder where  everything is clean and tidy. Also these days I have been busy updating some old lots, and learning my way on this world of lotting and modding. You can be sure, there will be a lot of new and better things on my next project. I also agree with you, and I will start Little Italy from scratch and try to improve the work done previously. There will be a lot of custom content.

About this one, I haven't tried yet to open it with this new Plugins folder, but I'm afraid it will be a no go. I'm sure it will be a ton of missing things, as my previous Plugins folder was a complete mess and many things I don't even know anymore where I get them from (3,9 Gb) :P

Anyway I'll give it a go, and if I succeed on opening it, I'll try to clean up the cities from brown boxes by deleting them one by one and try to replace those by new lots and maybe in the end, it stops crashing for good. I'll see what happens...

Cheers to you and everyone else, and thanks for all the suport given so far.
Silvio (aka Rayden)

Edit: Wow, I just noticed now that this thread went already over 4000 views  :o Thx guys!!

Thanks, last weekend I backed-up my plugins folder and decided to try something. I've did a complete clean-up on my old plugins folder, by going through every custom lot with the LE and deleting any I didn't use very often or at all. It took me long hours, as I had to sort the plugins by alphabetic order, create new folders, and copy paste all the plugins into them. Then I used to keep one at a time (a, b, c and on and on... down until z), so, I could open them on the LE with not too much delay. In the end, I merged the old plugins folder with the new one. Did a Cleanitol clean, looked for double files and empty folders, then use the SC4DatPacker and tried to open Shosaloza. Did some praying along, and, voilá, Shosaloza back in business. After that, I installed the new NAM, and, it does work fine too. I tried to open another city first, other than the one first created, and it doesn't crash to the desktop anymore. I think, if there was a nasty plugin doing all that damaged, it went down the toilet during the major clean-up $%Grinno$%
I'll see if I can have an update soon. :)

Cheers
Silvio

Wow, so many replies, thanks guys. I'm still searching for a devine inspiration to carry on with this. In the meantime, I'll build bits like this:

I'm also testing the CAM in this already half-way built region, and one thing I've already noticed. This peticular city, is now on the year 81 and I remember I could have a farm growing anymore. With the CAM, they still grow and quite easily. I have to test it in another region, I remember my old CJ, New Haven, I couldn't grow any farm either, as soon any manufacturing industry have grown, even if I destroy them. I remember I had to plop farms, coz they wouldn't grow anymore. If this is right, with the CAM, I'll be able to grow farms again if there is any demand.

Glad to see you back on track Silvio.

Glad to be back myself too as I was gone sometime due to PC crash (bad sim), ome redecorating my house and some bad SC4 depression that i am still trying to recover from. A lack of free time also has to do with this. Anyway nuff said about me.
Where are the devine beings when you nede some inspiration, huh?

Scary housing on that rock platform in the last nite pic. One should not be afraid of heights when you want to live there.  :D

These are some amazing shots, almost think they are not taken from the game, and cleaning the plugin folder, you are a brave man. I almost don't dare look at mine anymore as there is so many files ::)
