Oh dear, these signs are really stuffed up!  &mmm

- 7 destonations on the first sign, all in one direction (for the record, my limit is four destonations per direction)
- 13 destonations on the second sign. Would be practially impossible to read.
- 12 destonations on the third sign. Would also be impossible to read
- 4 destonations on the fourth sign, that's acceptable.

By the way, the signs are clearly made in pain. Use InkScape instead. This gives way cleaner results.

Other things I have to mention:
- Or the text is really, really small, or your highway lanes are waaaaaaaay too wide.
- The alignment is off. This may have to do with working in MS Paint.

Anyway, here are some of mine (click to enlarge):

Yes I know, they are stuffed up.  :D. But, like i said, they are based on Belgium roadsigns...  ;)
- The first one has six directions, not so exceptional in Belgium...

- second and third one: I have to admit, they have to many directions.
- I'll use Inkscape in the future (btw I used Flash to make these signs) :)

But that doesn't make the system look good. I personally don't like the realisation of Belgian signage: often the results are inconsistent and messy, and the sign you just show is a perfect example how not to make proper signage. But it can be worse, like Austrian signage.

For good examples, take a look at the old dutch signage, or the German and Danish signage.

I can imagine that the Belgian signage is really inconsistent to not-Belgians. But we're (I'm) used to it. :)
But I'll take a look at your examples and adapt my signage.

Thanks for your advice!

What was that?

Did I see the sign say something about pills over that TuLEP?

Nope, just the Swedish word for (City) Center.  ;)

j-dub

Do'h! City center is one word in your language, dang. That's awesome!

Time to bring this thread back!  I've been tinkering with a C/D system & some ITS-type stuff for the first time:

My first try at a quick RHW-8 sign. Haven't Inkscaped it yet used a quick program. What do you think? (Keep in mind that I used Pages and it took 5 minutes)

MandelSoft

A few tips:

- Split up the sign. One for the continuing road and one for the exit.
- You don't have to repeat "Winton" above each lane. It's redundant.
- M12 should be in yellow or white due to the Rule of Tincture
- I would choose other arrows (a bit smaller) and another font.

Never did post my designs on this thread... here goes.

If anyone wants to BAT these for SC4 go right ahead :P

Right on, Ryan! Did you paint the arrows yourself on the first panels? Looks good. And good signage for a collector/express system, I think.

Cheers

Wondering where to post this but this forum seem the logical place.

I have created some generic signs based on signs found in my home state of Victoria Australia.
They may not be perfect and I have had to use lots to place them in game since I can't T21A and that would be pointless anyway due to the RHW revamp.

But here they are...

Any comments on where I could improve are welcome

Keep up the good work guys
