Nice to see you OSITM, you really deserved this! (and I was away for too long I guess ...)

Some years ago I had to travel several times from Warsaw airport to Torun on business trips and I when I see your pics I am immediately remember the villages I passed then. Superb work my friend!

Take care my friend!

Battlecat, RickD - Thank you!
bat - Don't you think, that calling it "town" isn't too much?
nbvc - Thanks!
Kergelen, Arthur - Thanks! I was also inspired by many other players' work :)
Guillaume - Thank you very much, friend  ;)
Bernhard - I remember, you have said it once :) however I was basing on a bit different Silesian landscape ;) Thanks
noahclem, Robin - so today one more autumn shot ;D
Carl - fully agree! :)

Sorry for no uploading for a week. At the university they gave us a project, that I did't expected - they let us to do a project without any introduction. What is more we have to do it in AutoCad, however we just started to learn it  &mmm
Allright, but now final time for some shots!

This is probably the last autumn picture...

(Nida river)

...as well as winter...

(somewhere in southern Rapaty mountain range)

"Why" - would you ask?

... because here comes the spring!  ;D

Allright, that's right, trees are not already green in and even 21st March is still in the nearest future... But the last weekend was anourmous warm! The temperature was like in May or June. The only difference was that lack of leaves on trees.

Even wearing something more that t-shirt was too hot! Just like in summer  ;D

That weather was obviously perfect for riding. I've done 47km, I wish I had time to do more :D

I do not now how do you think, but personally I can't wait for full spring   ;)

Ok. Now back to integrals  :D

Enjoy!

Thank you for visiting Kolbrów, and for being for last ten years!

Oh Jeez, Kamil.... You scared me at first... I though you were about to announce you stop your MD... Man I almost had an heart attack.  :P

The two last autumn and winter pictures are great. I really like what you did with the Nida river's bank.

The newest pictures shot during spring were also fabulous, Your central station is great! I like it a lot. Even if it was made using the maxis rail station, it fits perfectly your city. One thing I can think of to add are some trains stopped along the platforms.

Also, last week was also terribly hot here too ( Paris ) I was wearing a T-shirt to go to school... Though, today was very cold, cloudy and grey, I had to take my coat back from the closet. Damnit Vito! why can't we have some normal weather? :D

Oh, also you are using AutoCAD.. That's nice, I used it a lot when I was in a an internship ( three times ) in an Architect office two years ago, it's funny because it took me only two days to figure out how to fully use it! A nice, performing and easy to use software that is!

Good luck with your project at university - I'm curious to hear more about it! - , and I hope you can find some free time to play our favourite game!

take care,

Arthur

The autumn and winter picture are nice nature scenes.
And the big big square looks good with the pederastrian streets arround.

The last weekend in Barcelona was also warmer than normal :sunny:

The first two pictures are fantastic. The other images are great, too.

Sounds like a beautiful spring!! It's warmer and sunnier around here, rising over freezing during the day fairly often, and I don't want it any warmer for now because we need tourists to keep coming here (Lapland) until after Easter! The spring pictures are great, and you've made a very nice transition, but I really like the autumn and winter picture as well  &apls

Sorry for not posting! That week occured very busy for me. I thought, I would post more updates during OSTIM  &mmm

Arthur - No, no! For this moment I'm not planning to quit simcity at all!   :D
Maxis railway station fits the most in my vision of main railway station - not too big, historical-looking and not terminus. What is more, not much people use maxis one  ;)
Now I succeed in becoming familiar with it. Yes it occured to be quite easy in use. My biggest problem was which tools use in each situation.
My project is quite simple - ground floor of single-family house. When I finished it, maybe I will show you :D
Thank you for warm words and care!  :)
Kergelen, bat, ricardomiranda - Thanks a lot!
noahclem - Hah, I think I would feel strange a bit to have snow during Easter! Of course in Lapland that's something else. If you there want to have snow, I will add it to the Easter wishes  ;)
Guillaume - As always my friend, I'm glad to see you there.
Carl - Thank you! Those words inspires me to work more with nature.

Spring came, it was hot, it was warm and now - snow in the weather forecast  ;D Fortunately not surely, but colder air - yes.

Today it's time to visit another small town!

Wielinia

Wielinia is a town in southern Galand in the Kolbrów metropolitan area, and situated in small valley, between hills of Wielinia Foothill. [See the map in this post]. The town was founded in XIII century and was an important centre of salt extracting. Currently all mines are closed and converted into tourist attractions.
Wielinia is one of the most visited by tourist towns in Galand. Approximately 900.000 of people each year.

It is based on town of Wieliczka.

Wielinia's Market Square

s. Klemens church and a small ped mall - Zamkowa street.

Zamek żupny - salt mine castle ("żupa" is an old polish word for "salt mine"). Today there is a museum of salt mining inside.

General view at the "centre". At the bottom there is small railway station Wielinia Rynek.

One of estates in Wielinia, located to the west from the Market.

I prepared also some bonus shots of railyard and freight station. ;)

This is a rail line from Kolbrów to Wielinia - just 4km long, ends at Wielinia Rynek Station.

Some bushes and carriages :P

Enjoy! There is possibility, that I will upload something at 31st. However I cannot say that at 100%.
Thank you for visiting Kolbrów, and for being for last ten years!

Swordmaster

Nice atmosphere in these pictures - I like all the green. But the freight station and the rail spurs at the end seem a bit isolated from any actual economic activity. Except if the idea is "abandoned", then it fits very well. :)

Cheers,
Willy

Nice slope building in the city, Kamil! I enjoyed that castle and its adjacent park. The estate is also one nice build, with a lot of trees and a nice planning. I also liked a lot your freight station. As Willy pointed out, it looks like it has been abandoned from activity, and to be honest, it's nice that way! I see you have used the smooth curves on the road crossing the railways... Why not using the same smooth curves for the street leading to the freight station? I think it might come out quite well.

About cad, seems like a nice starter project. :) I remember, During my small-one-week-internship, I was told to make a ground plane of my flat, so I had to go check every size of each rooms. Then I was told to convert it so that it can host people in wheelchair. Was pretty fun actually~  This was in my first one.

For the two others I changed to another agency. This time they gave me some ground planes that were false I had to correct. It was from an housing project in a polish town. yes - the planes were in Polish, was a hell to understand. :P

Take care,

-Arthur.
