Where do I get the lot editor and how do I download, install and use it?

FrankU

The normal Lot Editor should be part of your SC4 installation. It's on the disk you bought.

I bought a legal SC4 Deluxe disk without any Lot Editor  ;D

And Dberke: You can download Lot Editor here (SC4 Devotion site) - look at EA Support section ...
Good Luck ...

Folks! Do yourself a big favour and try the SC4PIM as it's far better than the Maxis LE. And it comes with an extensive userguide. Happy lotting

Silur, SC4PIMx works better than 1000 LEs, actually it does the same job of SC4 Plugin Manager + LE in a joint and easier way, actually you can add the Reader to those two, PIMx can also replace it on most of the tasks. It's just a matter of reading the ReadMe file carefully. Even most of the keys are the same. The only thing for I use a different program it's when I want to transit enable a lot, for that I use SC4Tool. :P

You'd better chill out and watch the caps, it was just a suggestion, you don't need to be that harsh. It's good to know you can work with all those programs, just in case I need your help sometime :-\
