Hello,

I have just downloaded and installed (yes i read the readme) CAM for the first time. I think i have done it correctly but what signs can i look for too see if CAM is actually installed and working? The only thing I can see is that the RCI meter is a little bit different.

My "test city" is still small (20k res), is that a reason? Will it be more obvious later on?

On some youtube "lets play" shows Ive been watching, they have additional info under the ? button, info regarding stages, caps and so on. I thought that would be included in CAM but i guess i was wrong? Can someone point me in the right direction so i can add that feature?

Thank you.

The CAM should be installed correctly if the demand bars go to 24000.

There were only 8 growth stages for residentials, commercials, and 3 for industrials way back when, before CAM. Ok, no problem. Then the bat tool came out and everyone started to create the next tallest building. So everything now grew at the same time. A 25 story building was stage 8 - a 60 story building was stage 8.

The CAM creates addition growth stages. So one can now grow the Empire State Building rather than plopping it (easier said than done). The increase of height of the city will be more gradual. The goal is not to have explosive immediate growth. And at 20K residents you'll see that gameplay is normal. You'll see the difference when you get a city of 200,000 or more.

The CAM also changes the 'rules' for us agriculture minded folk so that there is more variety and options at the start and end of ones farming regions.

Couple of thougths

Check the inCAMpatible mods thread.

Many old buildings that may have been downloaded from other sites may function but grow at the wrong times. Pay attention to the CAMeLOT readme's and use the cleanitall files to help you organize.

I didn't start the CAM with any CAM buildings at the start. I downloaded my first stage 9 and 10's when I saw the first stage 8 buildings pop up. Then some stage 11 and 12's when I saw them grow. This broke the downloading into managable tasks.

Good Luck ...

Thank you for the reply Jim,

Yes thats how my RCI meter looks like. Maybe I didn't describe it well enough.

I spent  several hours downloading and installing the CAMeLOTs starter packs with all of their dependencies... wow so many files! But now i have some new buildings in my test city so i know it works!

Thanks for the link as well, will try it out right a way
