I think the harbor picture would be better if there was more activity - workers mending nets, fork lifts carrying loads here to there. It would be OK as an early morning shot with some fog hanging heavy.  I see people walking in the plaza, cars driving around, and the elevated rail bringing the city scape photo to life. Feyss' screen grab captures the essence of SimCity for me.

As for the relative emptiness in my pic, I'm trying to go for a late 19th / early 20th century city hence the absence of forklifts and other modern equipment. That said, I still need to put those Maxis folks into a seperate file so I won't have to load all the Maxis plugins when entering the LE. It's on the to do list, somewhere . . 

Also a good suggestion to turn it into an early morning scene, thanks!
