Oh thank you very much jdenm8, what you advised me did a great job. You can see that the image is already perfect shape and ready for cutting texture. Indeed, it takes only 10 seconds.

The GIMP amazes again.  I learned how to use it on a limited basis to create alpha channels- it looks like there's new ground to be plowed here.  Thank you, Markus- the K-point was well-deserved.
