Awesome pics daTSchikinhed  &apls  Love the MMPs   Have you created some kind of road tree mod?

daTSchikinhed

Thanks! I will look into starting an MD here as well. As for the streetside tree mod, no, I didn't make it. I found it on the STEX.

All those curved streets, don't even bare resemblence to SC4 anymore. Who the heck is that down there on the left anyway? It looks like that actress from SNL and Bridesmaids, but I bet its not.

Love it.
Call me Warren.

The upper half of that creek is outstandig, as is your use of FARR roads  &apls

The Maxis highway, however, looks kinda awkward to me with all those dents. Maybe straighten it out a little bit, or why not use RHW? It also has FARR pieces, you know right?!  ;)

Thnx, vortext!

I'm aware of the fact that the highway looks a bit akward, however there is a point. I'm trying to recreat the metropolitan area of Ohama in a realistic way - especially the transport network is of importence to me. Therefore i cannot straighten the roads nor the highways, they have to match the real map. I started out with the FARR highways (absolutely love them) but was "forced" to switch back to the maxis system. It was to difficult to match the real map with the FARR.

Hi all!

Here are a few pics from one of my towns. I find building the 'burbs' the most interesting part. I tend to ask myself "would i live there?"!!

RickD

I like the channels in the first image. I'd definitely want to live there. ;)
My name is Raphael.
Visit my MD: Empire Bay (My old MD: Santa Barbara County)

ivo_su

Definitely a great place to live Rick and I join you. As channels, they have always been a big weakness for me and I just adore them.

sunv123

I really want to live there, but first tell me how much these houses cost. I think i can just scrape by with one house. :P $%Grinno$% :D

Oh, and there's yachts...

That's nice, I love the cul-de-sacs there!

Keep up the great work. ;)

Cool stuff... could you link me to your City Diary/Journal? Being pretty much raised in Omaha I'd love to see how you recreate the area

RBC

Thanks, rhwfanatic221.

To judge from your name, you will not be to impressed by the highways. ;)

Actually I haven't got any Journal. Decided I would when I finished the rough region layout and only needed the details. Not sure it will ever happen though. Progress is very slow indeed.

As you might have seen I have posted a fresh pic of the region shot (in that thread). A part from that I have posted a few pics earlier on.

The peninsula east of Bell Vue:

The Eppley Airfield (I know it could be much better but I have never been a sucker for airports):
