There will be more to come but I cannot proceed any further without an ExemplarID range and an Instance range at the moment.
If someone could be so kind as to show me the thread where I can request a range for both of these items it would be much appreciated.

As far as I know there isn't any. Instead most T21s use the Network Tile ID as basis for the Instance & Exampler ID (which are the same thing, unless I'm misunderstanding you).

At the moment I'm just using a random group ID and instance ID generated in ilive reader. Will this cause conflicts with other T21 mods and do I need to request a range if so. I should have been more clear with my question.

Thanks for answering anyway

MandelSoft

It's best to stick with the IIDs of the tiles they are assigned to. If you need more than one T21 for a tile, just increase the ID by one for each instance. That's what basically all T21 mods do, and it's also a good way to keep track of your files and to make it clear for other people which T21 is assigned to what ;)

Thanks for your help Mandelsoft. Your tip really helped me out.

I have now tracked down most of the FSH and S3D files that I want to add props to so it is only a matter of time till signs come to the RHW. Here are some developmental photos...

Here are some questions that people will probably ask...

Q) Will you be making a LHD version?

A) Yes... although I will need testers with an LHD installation

Q) Will you make signs from different parts of the world?

A) I will try but I will first concentrate on the North American version first. And I credit J-dub for sending me a US transport manual which has really come in handy

Q) Will you add signs to other networks?

A) Eventually yes

Feel free to ask more questions if you like

Finally road Signs come to some other networks.

To give a status update I have nearly completed signing the FARHW Ramps. That is as much as I will do for the non P57 content on the RHW side since I believe that Signing the other ramps will be superseded in a future NAM release and will be a waste of time.

I will be making a small amount of signs for the NWM but not too many yet. Once I get the templates for the signs though it will be only a case of changing the IIDs the new ones when new content is released.

Your sign mod looks great. I will definitely use it when it is released.  :)

Excellent work with the sign T21s  &apls  They look like they'll fit really well in what I'm doing now.

My only concern is that the scale on the merging sign seems a bit off. It looks like it is taller than the width of the traffic lanes. The size of the sign itself might be right so perhaps just lowering the model on the Z axis would do the trick.

Keep up the great work

I'll add to the plaudits. Nice work!

Still Signing away...

Finally the NWM is getting signage treatment.

I will probably start a new thread for the as of yet unnamed sign mod I am making.

Just wondering, do I need permission from an administrator to start a new thread or can I start one on my own?

And what name should I use for my signage mod? I was thinking of either the Traffic Sign Mod "TSM" or Network Signage Mod "NSM" but I am open to suggestions. Maybe a poll can be taken.

Thanks j-dub  ;)

I've been waiting a long time for a mod like this as well. It will be great once it is finished. I have always thought that signs are a part of the road network and I want to bring that to Simcity 4. While the signage mod is ages from completion it is starting to take shape.

Sorry for double posting. This thread has been inactive for a while.
