Is there a program that exists, which will provide all the props and textures that I would like.
I would like a program that would allow me to pick and choose which props and textures I want to use.

Thanks

I would like the sun and moon in my back pocket, but that won't happen, nor will your request.  You are going to have to do it the way we all have for years.....download each one you need as you go.

One way to do it would be to open the Lot Editor and remove the props/textures you don't like, but as for a program that would do multiple lots as a batch, there isn't one as far as I'm aware. The other option is to not install the prop pack dependencies, but then that would only result in empty looking lots.

Familiarize yourself with the Lot Editor (either the Maxis one or the PIM-X) and you'll have the control over your lots that you're looking for.

Hi Weigle,

I read your questin. And then I read it again.... I can read it in several ways and every way has its own answer. Maybe you try to be a bit more specific. Is it that you want to find certain props that you have seen somewhere, or do you wnat to know what props are in which prop pack? OR do you want to have a device that automatically downloads all dependencies for a certain lot that you have downloaded?
Please explain.
But, considering the fact that most of us would want the whole solar system in our pockets (  ;D ) but that this is not possible, I hope you do not expect too much! On the other hand: we might surprise you.

Welcome by the way!

Is there a disc that I could buy, download the disk and then take out what I don't want?

FrankU

All three sites that I visit have discs that you can buy: this site, Simtropolis.com and Simpeg.com. If you do a donation to the site they will usually sned you the discs. Tkae a look at these sites and you will find the info you need for that.
Hopefully that helps.

On the other hand: it is not so practical to do a big install at one time, except when you know exactly what you are doing. Because there is so much you will loose track.
My advice is to start some searching of what is available. Then first do some terrain stuff like terrain mods, tree controllers etc. Then definitely the NAM. And then afterwards you take a look of what is nice to have and download and install one by one.
Try to make a directory structure that gives you the opportunity to organize your downloads in such a way that you can keep track.

But donations to the sites are always welcome, so if you start with a set of CD's in exchange for a donation you will be welcomed!

Thank you and I may give that a try.
