New User Please!!! HELP

Well i've been playing sim city for 2 years now and recently started to again and i have a few cities and quite frankly i am sick of these same houses time after time after time i have tried to download one house pack i don't know what you call them  and it wouldn't show up i waited 30 minutes after continuous zoning. So if anyone would be caring enough to help me and paitenly explain me through the process of what i need to do to get these magnificant structures in my city i would be very apreciative, thank you!!!

To provide better help, it would be nice if you would list the name of the house pack you are talking about and the size of the plots in the residential zone you are setting up.

from what i understood which is very little i think you wanted me to give you this: http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=348 , which is "UK Suburban Semi 2" , this among many other things i couldn't get to show up and some of the things in the landmarks icon just kept showing brown box's which i waited for ever to develop but never did

I would just like to trick out my cities with new buildings that are more realistic looking and have various comercial busniess's such as walmart, best buy, target, and fast food chains like mcdonalds and arbys and stuff like that please help

Hello Bosakaeman...

May I suggest that you go to Simtroplis and find the STEX (Simtroplis Lot Exchange) then type 'simgoober' into the search field. He did over 250 bats and lots. You can browse through a wide variety of homes and types of business that he did.

EDIT::: While it is true that Simgoober did a whole bunch of homes and small businesses such as Best Buy, CompUSA, etc. I don't recall him doing a McDonalds per se. The homes you linked to in the above post are done by GasCooker and all of his work is found at the SC4D LEX. There are a number of small businesses done by Deadwoods, Spa, and JBSimio. Their things can be found here at SC4D and at Simtropolis. I highly recommend their buildings as well. You may like the homes done by Mat325 (or is it Matt325???) as well. Mat's stuff can be found at the SC4D LEX. Dusk Trooper comes to mind. He did a few and they are nice looking. His stuff can be found at the Simtropolis Exchange. I think you could probably query NDEX and browse through that material until you find his homes. If your are looking for European homes? then someone else will have to direct you. Good Luck. 

EDIT TWO:::: Regarding homes not showing up. SimCity is somewhat of a progression. You start out with a new city and all the first homes look poor, small, low wealth. Eventually as you build, add amenities, parks and such to your city the homes will upgrade to larger, newer models. Finally you will have skyscraper apartments. The homes that you linked to are medium wealth homes. They will not show up early in the game. Hope this helps.
