A short week passes quickly, especially in OSITM in November. You can keep up with TheTeaCat's progress on Hillingdon in the Recently Published section, and also check out his Hall of Fame MD Tales At Tea Time.

Up next though, is another Hall of Fame member whom you might also recognize from the NORO project. You might say he puts the NO in NORO... but then you might also say he puts the hedgehog in Siilijoki. Please welcome noahclem for his fourth run here in OSITM.

Welcome back to Siilijoki! It's been quite some time but being selected for OSITM gave me the impetus to get back into Siilijoki. My time away from Siilijoki and with the NORO project has given me a lot of new ideas and I've decided starting from scratch on a new region was the best way to implement those ideas. The old Siilijoki region was 3 1/2 years old and that was the last time I started a region (other than cooperatively in Noroway) or built a plugins folder so I was excited to do both...which turned out to be more work than I expected somehow :D  Fortunately I've had some notice of OSITM and some time off so I feel pretty good about what I'll be able to do with this week. But a week goes quickly so I'll start with a couple little mosaics I put together recently. More details on the new region coming very soon--and even sooner if I get a lot of feedback  ::)

I want to offer a huge thanks to everyone that has supported Siilijoki and taken the time to comment here. Particularly I want to thank Willy for his lovely tribute for 1000 posts of Siilijoki--probably the nicest and most thoughtful thing anyone in this community has ever done for me and I am very grateful.

Gorgeous!  &apls

Exciting to hear new ideas prevailed over a region you worked so long on. I for one cannot wait to learn more!!

Thanks a lot Erik! This week should give a pretty good idea of where I'll be going with this

What an awesome update there, Noah! Beautiful work, and it's all HD! (also, thanks for using my buildings! :) )

A fresh start is sometime what a player needs. I speak of experience, I did a fresh start 6 time this year...!

No, thank you for letting me use the buildings! They're incredibly useful for these kind of detail pictures especially and you can expect to see more of them this week (hopefully a special feature next update ;) ). Fresh starts are good but maybe 6 times is too much for me  $%Grinno$%

Incidentally, I am privy to some of those plans, and I can tell they're quite exciting. Nothing but the best of the best, of course, as you're used to in this MD.

Congrats buddy

Cheers
Willy

Much appreciated buddy! Thanks for all your help.

A huge congrats my friend for getting into the OSITM for the forth time.
The two mosaics are great...your cities always look so realistic.

Robin

Thanks a lot Robin! I've sense switched bridges to avoid the overly bright look you mentioned and my longer term plan is to do a more thorough lotting of those walls that will include street lights. I hope you'll agree with me that the resulting set could be very useful in NORO.
Call me Robin, please.

Congratulations for that OSITM my friend, you really deserve it !! I like these two pics, but especially I like that curve with that little monument in front of the church, fantastic job with the river banks as well !!

I've always loved your work with water and canals so I'm especially happy you enjoy the river banks here. Thanks for the nice comment.
