How does it work...?  I downloaded it, and it opens, but I am unable to do anything with it.  What am I missing?
I've got nothing.

After you open it, you need to input the file list. The Cleanitol folder has a list in it to remove things like .jpg previews and html readmes. To access them, click the "..." next to the blank bar up top, and find the list you wish to use. Open that list, and click the locate files button, and then sit back while it does its wonderful job ;D

You may have meant to search for Houdini. (result of searching for XiahouDun on SC4D)

ah.. so I have to write something in and then it will look for it?
I've got nothing.

XiahouDun

Nope, all you have to do is browse for the file (just like if you were uploading your avatar here). Opening that will automatically add the path of the file, which the Cleanitol uses to search for the files.

Most of the plugins that are on the LEX have a Removelist.txt in the zip, don't forget to extract it somewhere on your HD and then use the Cleanitol with that file

PS: I always thought '...' button is something standard in windows application :(

Wow! finally after reply #5 below I understand how to use this tool. I downloaded it originaly back in February but because of the way the computer in my brain works I could never figure it out. All it took was two pictures showing what to do,they should be in your instructions for people like me that can not figure out the obvious. I ran it and am happy to say. I am in good shape since I spend a lot of time keeping my files neat and organized. Thank you, now I have another great tool to keep my in line.

Maybe you could use an icon with an open folder, like the "open" button in Winword or any other office application.
