Ive seen a lot of lush ploppable rivers in many players pictures, but i'm totally clueless about the different ones, and which are the better ones. Can someone please give me some help?

I'm using Edmonton plopable water by brtim2 on STEX

if you go with it, you'll certainly be interested in Dedgren waterfalls

as well as Dedgren plopable rapids

There is also a different set by sorchin

and another one by Jeroni

Does anybody know of plopable water that matches the river/canal sets that are out there, such as SG's, Peg's, Cal's version of SG's, or Jeronij's canals?  I seem to remember seeing some of these in the past, but I'm not 100% sure...

Thanks in advance!!

The Edmonton blue plop water blends pretty well with jeronijs new urban canals and with Oppies old canals. Those are the ones I have tried. It was a heck of job getting it right though... ;D

Another note (and I know this is late, hehe...): but for those downloading and using dedgren's waterfalls. There is an issue with conflicting textures - it does not go well together with MAS walls. I'm no good at modding so I have no idea what the problem is, but the MAS walls take on the overlay textures from the stream lots. It looks a bit odd. ;D

@Cabra Buitre: DT Water Model 3 from Jeronij's Ploppable Water matches with Oppie Canal Set. Look at my MD (Update 1 - the Dam), you will see an artifcial lake above the dam. It is made using DT Wter Model 3. And the boat you can see on the lake in a few places is from Oppie Canal Set and it's base texture is Oppie water (2x1). As you see it matches quite good, but I lowered the terrain by 0,5 m in every place I put Oppie Water. It is also possible to make a waterfront on the plopppable lake using Oppie Canal Set.
Edit:
1. You can also experiment with DT Water Model 2.
2. Visible transition canal piece/ploppable water is a common problem with various combinations, and it can be solved using method I showed in Update 1 (lowering the terrain, but not too much).

@emilin: I noticed the same thing about MAS71 Walls and dedgren's water rapids, but it seems everything is OK if you use the last version of Japanese Walls.

Hey guys, I like the Ploppable Water Mods... I am looking to download one for my region (when I start it).  The thing I feel is missing is a Ploppable Water Mod that has some sort of Transparency.  I would like to know if it is even possible to add transparency to the original Ploppable Water Models.

I am just a lowly modder who doesnt know the process of going from model to SC4 Model.

@jplumbley: it would be excellent, but I'm afraid it would be difficult. Ploppable water pieces are placed partially one on another, and it can cause a problem - what woud they look if one piece covers an another one? I think sharp edges could be visible.

OK... well what if you used a texture with ripples in it, this effect would dampen the effect of the overlaps.  Also, if you were to make the texture more transparent around the edges it would soften this overlap line aswell.

@jplumbley: So I think it is definitely worth to try it
Of course all I said was said from the player's point of view, I don't hav any knowledge about making such pieces :)

Here is a sample of what I came up with for a texture (very quickly I might add).

This is the texture on a black back ground to show the transparency:
