Here is my take on the Chicago & Northwestern:

Another one from the Northeast:

I like the CN and Soo engines, although the red seems a bit bright when compared to the Santa Fe engine on page 22.  Are all the engines the same size or are the recent ones shorter?  Maybe it's just my eyes?

Anyways, great work. I really like variety and style of these.  This is going to be a great release.  &apls &apls

Will they all replace the default engine only or will we be able to use some as extras?  Such as this: http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/4327-cn-canadian-national/

Glad you like them.

Its more or less the same model. Only moving a few parts around to fit with the color scheme.

About the red colors have a look at these two photos:

The red color of SOO line is brighter and more fresh/saturated than that of ATSF.
I pick the colors from 3-4 different photos, then match up the hue/saturation/lightness it the textures.

Not sure have am going to mod these, but I might go modding them so you can have one replacement and a lot additional mods.

As I don't have any change of checking these trains out in-game at the moment I was wondering if anyone would help take some pictures of them for the icons and the readmes.

jmdude1

Excellent work!  After seeing them all together I think the colors look great.

Train lovers will really enjoy this set a lot.  :)

Here is two last mods:

Both are not really EMD E/F unit color schemes. The name still sort of exist, in Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad. This also have a diamond logo like the original had.
Another railroad of today is the Lycoming Valley, which both have to colors and the diamond logo of Reading Lines.

Arne, these look really nice. Along with eggman's catenaries in the RRW, you've almost convinced me to [partially] modernize my region. I'd be willing to take some pictures for you. It'd give me an excuse to start up the game.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
