Hello. I'm sorry to bring up such a well-worn issue but I cannot for the life of me figure out what I am missing. There are several residential brown boxes I get. Here's the information:

High Residential
- MoneyBags Mountain Estate
- Sierra Vista
- MadreLoad Lodge

Medium Residential
- Sky View
- Blue Sea
- Still Waters
- Deepwaters
- QuietWays
- Rural Retreat

Despite tons of other plugins these are the only ones I am missing dependencies for and it's driving me crazy. Maybe my Google skills are lacking but I could not find them in RippleJet's CAM thread nor does Google bring anything up.

Anyone know what dependencies I am missing? Thanks for any help.

It would help in the search if you know where you got them from or even a link to the files would help enormously

My guess goes to Jim Myers new homes and shops packs. Look to see if you have those dependencies

(1) Cycledogs base and overlay textures. BSC Textures Pack CycleDog Vol 1
(2) Various Props. BSC MEGA Props CP Vol01
(3) Various Props. BSC MEGA Props CP Vol 02

Highly recommended but optional

(1) To display the query. BSC Essentials

I know, but I can't remember. I've been overseas a long time and now that I'm back I picked up SC4 again. I had forgotten that before I left I was trying to figure out these handful of brown boxes.

I checked and I have those files. This is going to drive me nuts. I can't even figure out which files to delete so that the brown boxes don't appear!

For the game does not show any brown boxes just add the following parameter on the command line.

"C:\Programs FilesXX\... ( Depending on the installed operating system ) ...Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -IgnoreMissingModelDataBugs:on/off ( See below)

** Code: (Brown Box Removal)
-IgnoreMissingModelDataBugs:on/off

Off - (default) shows all missing models as brown boxes.
On - just doesn't show anything for them at all.

This may give you some additional information, open up the game go to one of these brown boxes, select the query tool and while its selected hold down the CTRL, ALT and SHIFT keys and then click on the LOT with the brown box if it works you will find in the MAXIS install folder in the /Program Files/ directory (in Steam its under /SteamApps/Common/SimCity 4 Deluxe) a file called Query.txt.

No guarantees but it may give you some extra information on the LOT, I've just done it for the "ModdSquad" lot and got this

| Lot: (22, 29) 1x1, north-facing, state: occupied new, configuration: ModdSquad Safety_2c2c4c61
| Jobs $80.0 $$10.0 $$$0.0 - Travel Jobs $80 $$10 $$$0
| Building: ModdSquad Safety $$
| Occupancy--building (tract):
| Zoned: Plopped Bldg
| Altitude: 270.0
| Land value, intrinsic: 11, total: 11 (Low)
| Slope: 0.0

looking next to configuration and then going and having a look in my plugins folder I can match it to this plugin "ModdSquad Safety_2c2c4c61.SC4lot"

or this one

not as easy to spot but I do have three plugins which all have "WMP_Allotment" in their name

:)
