Suggestions for a four way RHW interchange with RHW-4 connection ramps?

So I'm working on an online collaborative region where I have to build a lot of interchanges, including a couple four way ones, one of which should have higher speed connection ramps. I've only ever managed to build one four way freeway to freeway RHW interchange that I was happy enough with to keep before, and that one used MIS connection ramps. I'm able to make fairly decent three way interchanges with all RHW-4 ramps but have never gotten a solid handle on where to fit all the extra ramps to turn them into four-ways.

I'd appreciate any suggestions, but the most helpful thing someone could do is link a successful four way cross interchange with RHW-4 ramps that I could use as a reference. I have enough space for this that it's almost not an issue, but at the same time I'd prefer to build something realistic looking over a vanilla cloverleaf.

Thanks in advance!

In the "Show us your Intersection" thread you will find tons of interchanges you could use.

Personally I'd recommend either a cloverstack or a turbine as they are the easiest to build amongst them (they will take up more than a small city tile though) if you don't want to have a roundabout or a cloverleaf.

Oh my mistake... I honestly don't really understand what he's asking for then.  ()sad()

I finished all the other interchanges I was planning to build in the region except this one before leaving for my vacation in hopes that a little time to ruminate would lead to some inspiration, but I still haven't had any breakthroughs. Hopefully I can figure this out before I get back to my computer and get a chance to play on Thursday.

Come on, I know lots of you guys build this type of interchange!

I follow the Intersections thread religiously, but didn't find anything that meets the criteria I listed in the last 10-15 pages. Do you have any screenshots of cloverstacks or turbines that use RHW-4 connection ramps and don't rely on unrealistic elements like tunnels, L-0 to L-2 height transitions, or sharp curves? How am I supposed to get the flyovers to play friendly with the RHW-4 loop ramps?

Something like this you had in mind?

That looks pretty cool and realistically urban in spite of the narrow ramps, but the image no use at that resolution.

I'm honestly not sure how you missed it, I only listed two criteria after all: I'm looking for an interchange design that utilizes RHW-4 connection ramps and looks more realistic than a vanilla cloverleaf without auxiliary lanes. Honestly I would just build a huge cloverleaf with auxiliary lanes if one of my collaborators hadn't already built one in the next city tile over, so I'm looking for anything else.

EDIT: That last paragraph was pretty snappy sounding, I'm sorry about that. I was just feeling a little frustrated that I hadn't gotten any of the kind of response I was looking for after a week.

I've got a screenshot of a cloverstack I built about a week ago. This uses MIS loops though (I think RHW 4 loops are too dangerous...).

MandelSoft made a tutorial for a turbine a while ago, but that one uses tunnels, sharp curves and some MIS and is already massive.

You could just scale this upwards a bit to fit RHW 4 loop ramps in, but then it will most likely exceed the size of a medium city tile.

Other than that you will easily run out of space if you try to build other interchanges that meet your criteria (that patch of land you're showing is not that big).

If you can live with some stretches being MIS, it will be a lot easier.

This is Geometry123's interchange from "Show us your intersections" thread. I think it fits your requirements.

Okay, let's get back on topic and forget the 'blocked pictures'!  $%Grinno$%

A partially unrolled cloverleaf...

You might also want to look at my interchange:

I was trying to create a compact cloverstack interchange and here is the result:

You would need to make it a bit bigger to get clover-parts 2 lane wide, but I think it's possible. This interchange does not look realistic though.

It would be easier for us to give you good suggestions if you could post an image of your entire region with the location of the interchange and the crossing highways marked. Mark the major cities if they aren't already built. That way, we can give you better suggestions for an interchange that would be best at handling the traffic flow.

It really is important to know where you will have your cities when you're building RHW interchange. With a four-way interchange, chances are not all the ramps will get the same amount of use. This is especially true if you are building the interchange on the outskirts of a city; the ramps leading away from the city don't need as much capacity as the ones leading into it since there won't be as much traffic on them.

It might also help to sketch out the interchange on paper. When you do this, it's important to consider the limitations of RHW and the game so that you don't end up coming up with something that isn't possible to actually build.
