SC4 Bat Installer problem

Hi
i was forced to reinstall sc4 and i lost almost all the plugins...anyway i downloaded the sc4 bat installer but when i try to install it i get an error: unable to copy plugin to plugin folder.
what should i do?

Try changing the permissions for the entire SimCity 4 folder, and all it's child folders.

It is for win8, but it is the same for win7, and possibly XP. This is a common problem with win8.

I don't suggest running anything SC4 related as administrator. It just causes other conflicts later.

I had to reinstall all of my plugins folder last year. I tried both SC4 bat installer programs, both are bugged and unsupported and I could not get either to work properly.

I just did it all by hand (it sucked...)
