Ahoy,  everybody!!!  I thought that you might like to know that I finally pulled off that T- interchange in spite of all the headaches it has caused me in the process!!!  My interchange avails a driving maneuver known as the Michigan left turn which is a right turn and U-turn executed in quick succession to achieve the effect of a direct left turn.  As you can see from the first screenshot, I have drawn around the casino the RHW-4S from the bypass highway (which I still have to work on) into a U-turn to have it join the spur as it heads east away from the commercial district.

The second screenshot is the egress ramp which affords motorists an alternative to driving out of town if they missed the previous egress.

So what do you guys think?  Are there lessons to be gleaned from this that I overlooked?  How can I improve my technique?

I think it's a good beginning. :) To use the RHW is a long and sometimes arduous learning process. First and foremost, I think you need a slope-mod (like this one), but bear in mind that they can initially make life somewhat tougher... however it does always pay of in the end ::) And then there's a lot of different designs and set-ups to look at in the Show us your... interchanges thread.
Come join me on a hike to St Edmea!

I hope you continue to make use of the RHW, it's a fabulous tool when you take the time to learn it.

I agree you should consider installing a slope mod to make the transitions smoother you should also try to familiarise yourself with the Terrain Raiser/Hole Digger lots. RHW and most of the NAM use a height system of levels. If you correctly terraform your transitions by these heights, it will make everything look smoother and more realistic.
