Warping in

I see all those mouth-watering lots --houses, of all sorts and those containers lots and I wail : O Brother Where Art Thou ? --er, Where Are They ? Are you going to upload them anytime soon ? (at least some of the houses and the container lots, since we are waiting for Fred to get better for the other stuff...)

Warping out.

:) :) :)

FrankU

Hi evarburg,

Yes, certainly I will release them. I just have to improve them as a result of the criticism that I am waiting for....
And then a readme and those kind of things. Shouldn't take too long, though.

gn_leugim

There isn't much to criticise Frank :)

Just a question, how are the lots regarding variability?? prop families? lists? or will always be the same props?

GnL

FrankU

Thank you....

A long time ago I made a set of prop families. I meant it to be useful for my Farm Lots. And I actually did use the families on many of those lots.
In my later work, like the BNL Advent Calendar lots and in the Container Terminal I used mainly the lists. Because this technique is much more flexible.
But te Ducht Housing Project is such a huge set, if I want to make lists for every interesting prop variation I would be working on this set forever, so I decided to use as many prop families as I could find in the dependencies plus my own sets.

So there is quite a lot of variation in the lots. Because SC4-Pimn is not able to rotate through the prop famileis I am not 100% certain that all props always fit next to each other. So it could happen that now and then a shrub or tree grows through a bench, table or other prop. I hope you will not sue me..

gn_leugim

No, I will not sue ofc.  :P and I know it takes a lot of work to list a lot of props, I've been doing just that lately. I wish we had some kind of tool (inside PIM-X for e.g.) to help out on this. I tried to do something like that, but my programming skills are quite lame XD

Maybe, if, if someone is working on PMIX (wouanagaine maybe?) we  could ask him to help and make this, no? :)

Having some props here and there not fitting quite well ain't be a problem, after all, in RL not everything is neat perfect too, or is it? :P I?ve seen poles and tress in the middle of roads/paths and other unusual things so, it is ok :D

FrankU

Although I have not yet released the Pioneers Set I present you today: the 19th century Set.

Not all buildings are 19th century, as some are older, but most of them are, so for the sake of simplicity I call this the 19th century Set.
You will find R$, R$$ and R$$$ lots. Together you'll see 85 lots.

I thank you for the feedback and the compliments.
The remarks and gelp concerning the Container Terminals are stored in mind and will be of good use when I commence with these lots another time.
At the moment I am trying to build a complete set of lots with a Dutch atmosphere.
The following lots will grow in the Chicago set.

And, while we are talking anyway: gn_leugims remark on SC4-Pim being able to add IID's in the lotconfig would be a great addition.

1 - R$ Bosschersteenweg

2 - R$ Helmondsestraatweg

3 - R$ Kinkerstraat

4 - R$ Lettelerdijk

5 - R$ Polderdijk

6 - R$ Spoorlaan

7 - R$ Zijlstraat

8 - R$ Zijlweg

9 - R$$ Assersteenweg

10 - R$$ Heideweg

11 - R$$ Hoogeveenseweg

12 - R$$ Lindenlaan

13 - R$$ Oude Goedstraat

14 - R$$ Purmerendstraat

15 - R$$$ Ripperdahuis

16 - R$$$ Woudweg

17 - R$$$ Zandbergenstraat

gn_leugim

Wow, your looting skills are very good! let me take some notes myself.  "$Deal"$

I really like the lively hod of the lots, mine will (eventually) look quite different, but that is mostly due to geo-differeces ofc. nevertheless, some ideas were noted as said ;)

FrankU

The Pioneer Set is available at
the LEX
the STEX

Please have fun and comment!

FrankU

Hi Carlos,

Well, I had actually made most of the Set 2 already before I decided to be happy with Set 1 and release it.
But now I have not one of Set 3, so that will take some time.

And Belfastsocrates,
Thank you!

Themistokles

Beautiful set of houses (the rowhouses look especially good :) )! Thanks

FrankU

Dear Friends,

A milestone has been reached.... I finally finished the complete set of Dutch Reward Replacement Lots. All Maxis Rewards have now been replaced by a lot I made.
The last file that was missing, did anyone ever notice?, was the Farm Fair. This was caused by the fact that I had shown a very appealing version with Nexis's MFP barns and these were not available.

This one

You can find the lot here:

LEX

STEX

Nexis's barns still aren't available, so this week I decided to release the Haarlemmergold version, which is not bad at all, if I may say so.
The Nexis version is on my HD and will be released when the Nexis MFP Set 1 is available. No worries!

I am talking about this one

So what for the future?

Well, nothing is ever really finished, is it? There are some Maxis Business Deal lots in your Rewards Menu that may be upgraded a bit. I'll see if I feel like doing them too.

First I am going to concentrate on the Dutch Housing Project and on the reworking of my Dutch Farm Set, according to the new CAM 2 Standards.
Mainly the Stage 6 and 7 lots will have to find a new destination. It might be the right time to try and mod my first self made Reward Lot out of one of these...

Meanwhile we all hope Fred is getting better and will be able to release his MFP works.

Have fun with the lot!

c.p.

Congratulations &apls

The high wealth residential lots in your previous update are really great

Themistokles

The farmers market looks awesome and of course waaaay better than the maxis one! &apls And I think replacing all maxis reward lots merits one for another Karma point.
