Hi all, has anyone experienced issues whereby the Lot Editor doesn't load? I get as far as the "GD Driver Window" before it decides to not respond.

The installer put the files in my Steam directory for the game.

Thanks all,

Indiana Joe

It's very slow to load if you have many plugins.  It can take 20 minutes to load up for me.  That's with a Solid State Drive.

Like Indy said, if you have a lot of stuff in your Plugin folder, it may take a lot of time or doesn't load at all. What's the size (weight as I call it) of your Plugins?

I've gotten the "gd Driver" not responding as well with a full plugins folder, Just give it some time have a snack, it should still load even with the not responding message. about 15 to 20 minutes for me to load 6.25 GB myself. generally i load only what i think i need still about 1 gb still takes awhile.
Where ever you go, there you are.

For a better performance, it's always wise to move out the contents of your plugins folder temporarily, and just keep the files that you actually want to use, such as the lot(s) that need editing, and the dependencies (props, textures, etc.) that you want to use. This reduces loading speed drastically, even if you want to edit different lots, where you might want to switch the set of dependency files.

An easy and quick way to test your Plugins is to rename it to something like *123Plugins* and create a new folder called *Plugins*, instead of emptying and re-filling it everytime. Then you can add/copy only those files you actually need and delete the folder when finished, and then rename the *123Plugins* to *Plugins* again.
I do this all the time.

Hi all,

Thanks for all your advice! I gave it a while yesterday and it did load after a while...must be the sheer volume of my plugins file. A clean-up is very much required in the near future!

Thanks again!
