Thank you CT.

Here is a few more. A rework of one of the IAIS:

Chicago South Shore Freight.

Have dug deep into the history books:

Texas & Pacific, before the blue MoPac.

... and before this short lived livery:

An extra mods

of Canadian National.

Last a weather version of the Union Pacific:

Been modding, so now have 3 different version of all the livery I have done so far.
Took quite a lot of time to do the additional mods (so you can have more than  just one livery installed)

Hi again Vester,

Thank you for fixing the New Haven passenger car for me. I do appreciate it. And I'm sorry I ran away without properly thanking you first.

These GE Wide-cabs look fantastic, by the way...

I do have a oddish request... Could I have the texture source files for one of these? I'd like to whip up a Santa Fe Superfleet unit, and a SP one also.

Edit - Stupid me... I found that you already did a SP one...

Well what do you know....?

Was in fact working on the first bonnet:

Will these do ?

Sorry to say, but its a bit odd request, especially considering I am still working on mods.

luv this set...

it just keeps getting better...

would the SOO fit into the 'heritage' themed?... still like the Milwukee road best BUT the santa fe is also very notable... cannot chose my favorite...

during my days as a modelrailroader I modeled the Milwaukee Road, SOO, CNW, and teh Santa Fe... plus my fictional regional "CranRail"  [cranberry country rail hauler]

&apls

Very Nice, and so close.  Just I'd like the cab number font changed to something more akin to the units at the very top of your post, and a number in the 600 range...

Honestly, all of them are really fantastically done. Thank you..

QuoteSorry to say, but its a bit odd request, especially considering I am still working on mods.

Fair enough... I wanted to help a bit as I have prepared many other locomotives skins for other simulators... Examples can be provided if you'd like...

vester

Well that font was taken from this picture:

I see that ATSF did use a more roman like font like this one:

Think its only very few that would noticed the difference.

Maybe instead of requesting the texture, offer your help. The other way seemed a little like a take over.

Burlington Northern, white face.

Another Chicago, Burlington & Quincy, also know as Burlington Route.

Conrail.

St. Louis–San Francisco Railway, or just Frisco.

A shortline: New Orleans & Gulf Coast

Soo Line

and an older color scheme from Soo Line

Wisconsin Central

I understand. If it bothers me too much, I'll fix it myself.

Re-reading it...it does seem that way... I'm sorry, and I'd still like to help please.

If you don't want it at all, that's fine...

vester

I really don't need any help.

What about a comment on the work and on the font in the image ?

When posting it is always a good way in, to comment on the work.

Used the font in the image:

... and here is one that I overlooked in the modding proces:

Missouri Pacific

I am genuinely sorry about that... The font's fine. I sometimes get too wrapped up in other things... I'm kinda nervous to be entirely honest...

Those do look very nice. The ATSF does look better with the Roman Style Numerals.

The reason I wanted to do some of my own skins is because I just really don't want to add to your workload when I'm a good texture artist, and because I kinda want to contribute stuff... I'm not doing a good job at that, am I? ()sad()

Again, I am sorry about pestering you so much...

Jack_wilds

Luv teh SOO with its two versions... well done... the WI-Central turned out good to... nothing I see to nit-pick over...  :)

however on teh Miss Pacific like that one alot to but inthe ... never mind... looked at it again, my bad... there is a 'line' or an edge in eth terrain that also runs into teh corner of teh nose of teh model and it looked 'odd'... that is a hard color to get right for this game... so I think its close enough or a tweak to stand out better or desaturate or whatever   ??? ... its nitpicky and leave teh final to you...  %confuso  [having a hard time pointing at exactly what I am getting at; sorry]

I might adjust the colors of the MP. If you look at pictures, the blue color, is all over the place.
Some colors varies a lot, depending on the age of the paint on the train, the light in the picture and the age of the negatives.
The line on the nose could be the white hand rail ?

BTW: Before you press POST, please read what you have written. A lot of teh instead of the. For people that don't read English well that really makes the text a lot harder to read and gooogle translate would make very little sence. Just like luv would do.
If you are using Firefox you can install the dictionaries like United States English Spellchecker

Alan_Waters

Dear Vester, can you ask not to ignore the Russian locomotives and make a couple of skins.

Thank you in advance! ;)

Jack_wilds

THanks for pointing out the hand rail that may have been what was throwing me off...

pardon my writing as I do slang a fair amount...

did not know it played such havoc with translation... I use "luv"  to mean I love 'stuff'... so I will use like or really like instead...

the pack is developing very well... watching the progress

vester

It was mostly the teh that bother me.

About the translation to see what it means to use Google to translate: Try to this little game, find a text 20-100 words and copy it.
Go to google translate. Paste the text. Translate it to any language and back to english.
or even more funny result go over one more language.

Here is a random text from BBC News:
While many cinemas display messages before films asking people to switch off their mobile devices, Mr Aron had suggested that allowing mobile phone use during a film might appeal to young adults.

translate to Japanese, to Latvian and back to English you get this:

While many movie theaters will display a message before you ask the people in the film, to turn off their mobile devices, Mr. Aaron is that if you can use mobile phones in the film, may be appealed to young people it is proposed.

That quite the same. Not the most funny result I got have seen from this game.

I don't have that big problems with English, but this is an International site after all.
I do use Google translate, but only to translate a word, not a paragraph.

SD40-2

Personally, MP Jenks Blue has always seemed to be on the dark side. I wouldn't really change it.

Also, Going to try this one more time... Vester, I am sorry for what follows...

If you are done with the geometry of the model, or at a later date, may I please contribute a few railroad liveries to this project?

Such as adapting this skin to your model... Artwork by yours truly.

I hope after all the stupid screw-ups, that I have not gotten on your bad side...

Thank you in advance.

vester

At a later date, when I have done what I like to do of color scheme, I will send a psd file to you.
Nice work on the Amtrak.

Noticed the wheels. Would go up to 16 sides instead of the 12 at present.

Have update the MP:

and of cource a few new colors:

a black Gulf, Mobile & Ohio

a red Gulf, Mobile & Ohio

... and two short lines:

Maryland Midland, using former Western Maryland and otehr tracks in Maryland.

HMCR, Huntsville and Madison County Railroad in Alabama.

Jack_wilds

HI

The MP revision did the trick as I can actually see the structure/ body shape better...

as for translator it sure messes a meaning up... a person cab say something so very innocent relevant to the conversation, yet can come out all wrong, even insulting after churning through a Google Translator...

I will work at being more careful with my prose...

as for "the" and "teh" my dyslexic mistyping typo... it peeves me to... half teh time I do not see the error... there are a series of words that I constantly see turned around and I type those words like that and never notice... although the dyslexia is mild and manageable it does get frustrating time-to-time...

likethe progress of these sets very much... will be watching

soo... the prose pen from railside

:) Jack
