i would like to find a tutorial that would enable me to conglomerate sets of lots into 1 icon that i can tab through, is this possible and if you know where to find one please post a link

Placing one reveals a specific set of lots in your menu. Bulldozing the MML from your city and then leaving/re-entering the city hides them again.

The tabbed rotation rings are specifically for transportation items only. Sorry.
