Citynut

Ok been working on building number 3 but i have a question for you all. The question is which roof do you prefer to have on this building. Be honest please

My roof

Original roof

this is up to you all and Jestarr to decide - Thanks

Hmm... I think yours is better.

I agree...I like your roof much better

Ennedi

An opinion of the ignorant:

Citynut's: great, but too modern to this building (looks like after renovation of this power plant) - but I don't know an original building

The second one: good shape, but it should not be such bright and sheds are too small (by twice).

After a while of thinking: mybe the Citynut's version is really better, but with brown color (similar to the facade) instead of white?

vester

I agree with Barby and April ect, but couldn't the original roof be used on another building ?

mightygoose

i honestly prefer the original, it looks less modern and the factory is a good few decades old, i think it has more character.
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

jestarr

I actually like them both. :D  However, I'm leaning more towards yours than the original.  It has more character.

Pat

So i take it voting is done with since you spoke Jestarr LoL.... IMHO Citynut's roof is reallly great... - pat

Nice coming along nicely just good thats all i can sya. &apls %%Order?/

OK, I fired up the BAT during lunch break and made a storage tank with a couple of variations.  Also made a small auxiliary building, for the rear of the lot, and rendered them on our graphics monster while the boss's back was turned. :D  Here's an in-game progress pic.  I varied the brick a little too, so everything wouldn't end up being a uniform brown (boring  :P).  Cheers!

dedgren

Oh, man!  Storage tanks!

I envision a huge tank farm off 3RR's port area and these look perfect.  This thread is like a visit to a toystore...

Great work, my friend.  I foresee many of your industrial creations in my region's future.

Y'know, it often takes David to make me realize something really obvious. That's why I love 3RR. I just realized that this project would require its own MEGA prop pack, which means more good stuff for industrial lot designers to play with in general.

I REALLY owe citynut, dedgren, and jestarr a beer now. Email me if you're ever in Jackson and I'll buy you a cold one.

Oh, and I still really want this industrial beast for fueling residential and commercial development for at least two large cities.

Cheers,
Kevin
