The SC4 Devotion Forums are no longer active, but remain online in an archived, read-only "museum" state.  It is not possible for regular members to post or use the private messaging system, and no technical support will be provided for any issues pertaining to the forums in their current state.  Attachments (those that still work) are accessible without login.

The LEX has been replaced with SC4Evermore (SC4E), and SC4E maintains an active Discord server.  For traditional forums, we recommend Simtropolis.

Have you tried another file format?  Does Sketchup Pro export DXF files?  If so, you could try that.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it

I tried that but when I imported it into Max, I just had a garbled mess with only half the model there and bits all wonky, it was quite strange actually, as if the file had been corrupted.

I really like the drawing like look of Sketchup... Should there be already some decent render for it?? I heard there was a beta from V-ray... Since it is beta I'm sure it was free. With it it would be possible with couple of tricks do all the exporting directly from SketchUp

yep, i remember trying to texture somthing from the 3d warehouse but it was really hard.
