Returning Player: The Must Haves?

So back to the game I come.

I have the NAM - latest release of course.

But what other packs etc are out there for a budding realistic city obsessive are there?

(Am about to hit the LEX for downloads of props etc...)

1st thing you need is the newest mod: CAM and all related buildings, prop packs, farms and lots. Once you have all that...you need all the latest tools available on the LEX...that should keep you busy for awhile..

Am downloading the CAM stuff now - and reading as many of the threads as I can at once without loosing my mind doing so.

Does seem like a great mod and thats for sure.

I would suggest looking up the "Dependencies" under "Site Extras" then "Legends." I would then click "Add to the Download List," then download ALL of the dependencies available with the LEX Downloader. That way you won't have to worry about finding certain ones at different times. It takes awhile to install all of the mega packs, but its worth it in the long run.

The LEX Downloader should be a person, I want its babies

On topic, I have the following so far:

NAM + Bridges (Take it GLR stations are seperate? if so is there any on the LEX or am I back to STEX?)
CAM + Dependencies (No buildings as yet - they are a task for later, as I wont build my cities up too fast too soon)
Every other dependancy pack off the LEX (Is this pretty much enough to cover all downloads from the LEX or do I need other packs from other sources? Also any must have packs not found on the LEX that are recommended?).
Everything by SG on this site, I assume he has more objects on the STEX etc? Are the prop packs here enough to cover me for his downloads from there?

Well...here's the problem with SG's BATs. The majority of his creations aren't CAMpatible yet, which means you'd get skyscrapers growing at funny moments and the like. I would get what he has that is CAMpatible here, and any civic or reward releases from the STEX and SimPeg.com.

Newsflash: the CAM train has pulled into Gooberville. Barby's been converting every SG lot there is to CAMpatibility and then it gets rereleased on the LEX. Also coming soon: a plop that got redone, never came in the STEX download and was MIA for a long time...until now. I'm doing an over-CAM-haul of all my SG stuff. Thank the BSC for Cleanitol...makes a Camelot-sized plugins folder manageable.
