When I've finished the airport I'll post some more pictures.

Nik-Nik, we all loose track of things, so don't worry.

I have some more pictures from Windmeade, from a pleasant civic area and its surrounding environs.

Great pictures. This is a charming city

Another set of great pictures.  I really like the way you use the Rural high way and the avenue together.  Cool idea.  I know you have used it before, but I still like it.  I may try it going through my industrial area.  &Thk/(
In your second picture, where did you get that park?  Very nice, I would like to use it in my MD.   ::)

Beautiful, jen_p! I love your use of the RHW and the schools look great, too! I'll be looking forward to seeing more!

EDGE4194

:o- wow- impressed as usual! Great update jen. What is that lot with the 5 small cabins in your 4th pic? I too am curious about the park in the 2nd.

jen_p

Just a quick update here, the lot with the cabins is one of Colyn's creations, possibly with the lot by Barby. I can't remember off the top of my head, and the park is by Mas71, and it's seasonal.

Here are a couple of teaser pics of what is to come:

An overview of the airport, showing the terminal that I've previously shown, which is now, with an airport expansion, the domestic terminal:

And a little sneak peak of the next update:

Wow Jen, your use of RHW is very novel and unique. I love the use of them this way. Great work.

That airport is wonderfull too, what's it called by the locals? The Donut? LOL

Those sneak peaks taste like more, more, MORE.

Take care.

First out: very very very good... as always. &apls &apls &apls

Second: would you mind to explain how you think when you chose your different road styles? Why did you chose to use the rural highways in that way, for instance? And why did you use streets (and not roads) just in front of the civic buildings? Don't missunderstand this as critisism (it most certainly isn't because I think it looks great!) I'm just interested in how you think about these things.

Just a quick reply, I will update with more pictures on the weekend.

Emilin, Your questions are quite interesting. Firstly, the rural highways. I guess there are two reasons that I've been using the rural highways. Firstly there is the increased capacity, but the second reason is that I've never really liked the look of avenues. I don't care for the median strip down the centre, I would prefer to see a raised grass strip maybe with the odd tree, something less manicured. I also prefer the lighter colour of the rural highways. I would be happy if all the roads/streets/highways were that colour, with varying widths and markings to differentiate between them. The reason that I used the streets in the civic area, instead of the roads, was to have trees on the sides. About a year ago, I was travelling through Wyoming, and I stopped in Cheyenne for a short time. Whilst I was there I visited the State Capitol, which was surrounded by tree lined streets and other civic buildings with grass and trees in a semi-formal sort of arrangement. I was not trying to replicate this directly, but I wanted to give my little civic area a hint of this sort of atmosphere.
