Congrats on having a harmless freshman year, Travis. :)  Senior year for me right now is crazy... consider yourself lucky you're only in 9th grade.

You're very welcome as per the signature - you put out such quality work as to deserve recognition.

Your region's obviously incomplete but I see where it's going.  It realistically goes from downtown to suburbs.

 &apls Great update you done . Even if i`m late to comment i like your work . Only a negative point, your cemetary is a bit small  ...    ;D Just kidding, is very nice. Hey , the bridge pic is just very nice . You should compete with it. Have a nice day  :thumbsup:

Krio

I must admit that I've never been in this MD before, mainly because of name. I was waiting some hillbilly stuff but this is one of the realistic MDs ever made from American midwest.  :thumbsup:

The calendar's been marked, and we've come to September 3! I'll be looking forward to the update! Happy Six-Month Anniversary, Travis!

Ennedi

The region overview lokk great but it seems you will have a lot of work here  :D
And with your attention to details it will need a long time...

Very good, your visitors will have more pleasure  :thumbsup:

Best regards

Travis

Hello everybody, it's the 6-month anniversary of this MD, and as promised, we have a special update.  :party: :party:

Unfortunately, I have to skip the replies this time, I have a terrible cold, ( ()sick() ) so we'll just say thanks to Robin, bat, Pat, Aaron, kimcar,
Bengt, Dustin, and Adam.  :)

I had to cut this update short; I kind of ran out of stuff to take pictures of.  :P

On to the update....

These are almost entirely areas which we've seen before; however, these places have been updated, and all these pics are new.  :thumbsup:

I've been expanding the region, with some new terraforming....

Another region view...

A preview of the Port of Flag River...

The East Span of the Ocean Avenue/US-37 Bridge

A view of the Campus of Radston University, which we visited some time ago...

Another look...

Moving South...

The interchange between Union Boulevard and Interstate-318...

A similar picture at night...

Union Station. On the right is the intersection between State Street and Union Blvd.

An updated downtown shot...

Going in closer...

A sports arena...

Some newer marinas...

Anybody remember the airport?

An Industrial area...

A shipping facility...

Some residential areas...

One of Radston's many rowhome districts...

A Wal-Mart in the suburban town of Oakford...

The interchange between SR-72 and I-18...

More suburbia...

And some rural areas...

To end the update, I have a special feature...

Over time, my editing of pictures has changed dramatically. First, we used a soft-edged format;

To the familiar old green;

To our modern 3D frame;

That does it for now, I'll be back soon enough with more.  :)

Later.

Good stuff! Really good. You even managed to make "old school" marinas look good (and that isn't easy, hehe...). The new terraforming looks interesting too - it looks like the river should be nice for light development along the shoreline. :thumbsup:

Wonderful new update, Travis! Great work! Fantastic pictures of your city and great terraforming!  :thumbsup:

Looking forward to the port!

thundercrack83

Congratulations on the six-month anniversary, Travis! And also, sorry to hear that you've got a cold, I hope you feel better soon.

The update is fantastic! So many great pictures of your work, I don't even know where to start! The power plant, the airport, the marina with the seawalls--outstanding! Here's to six more months, my friend!

Sober

That's one big update! That's some nice terraforming, and I particularily liked the US-37 Bridge shot myself :)

Another great update, Travis!  &apls

I like your downtown and the region view, also great work with building transit nteworks!  :thumbsup:

I think I don't need to repeat compliments about an airport and industrial area
Btw, where did you get this GSM antenna from? (Edit: I'm an idiot. I have many of them in my cities, it's Jeronij's GSM antenna. Travis, have you ever had such stupid friend?  :D)
And thank you very much for helping me with SFBT diagonal fillers  :thumbsup:

I loved in insustrial area pic, looks just like NJ!

pickled_pig

I can't help but look at that interchange picture (SR-72 and I-18...) - it's very well done.
--I swear I say this always, but like everything else in this region.
Colds can be terrible (I'm certain you know that) - hopefully you have time to recover between school (especially if you have teachers that pretty much expect you to be there every day...) and RL.

Great work here!

I do love good industrial shots (especially if they are NOT I-HT ...  ;) ) and these are that awesome that I don't point too much on that RR crossing with the avenue ...

Superb one with that Buddybud - Underpath at the bridge support! But since the road is ending at the lighthouse a gray street might be more suitable.

You might look for are more raidcal slope mode, IMHO your overpass ramps are a tad too short and steep.

My favorite one is that pic with the underpass at the cooling tower. Just breathtaking!

Take care and don't forget to make backups!

Bernhard  :thumbsup:

Travis

It's teaser time...  :)

@Pat, thanks Pat! Indeed, I'm feeling better already.  ;) I miss the green frame too; if my Paint Shop trial hadn't run out I'd still be using it.

@Emil, thank you! I actually prefer the maxis marina over the other ones available- it blends in well with the marrast embankment set.  :)

@bat, thanks!

@Dustin, thanks! Indeed, I hope to see you around 6 months from now- I'm not going anywhere.  $%Grinno$%

@Sober, thanks!

@Adam, thank you! Yeah, I was wondering why you were asking me for a link to something you already have, ( ::) ) but
everybody makes mistakes.  ;) Thanks for visiting, my friend.  :)

@Sean, thanks! Glad you think it looks like New Jersey- that's exactly what I'm trying to do.  :thumbsup:

@Aaron, thank you! Glad you like the interchange, but I keep thinking there's something wrong with it (aside from the fact I forgot to edit the pic)
, maybe it's those concrete walls. Anyway, I'm feeling better already, but make-up work could be tough.

@Bernhard, thanks! Some good points; I will be downloading a more radical slope mod soon. Glad you like the pics, and don't worry- I make plenty of back-ups, I learned my lesson two years ago.  ;)

Finally, the teaser...

I'll let you guys speculate on that one.  :thumbsup:

Later.

Pat

nice teaser there travis... btw what are you using now? I use photofiltre and its awsome little tool and user friendly at that...

Awesome teaser, Travis! In fact, I just gave it a vote in the picture competition! Good luck, my friend!
