so then how does rain fall...horizontal? 

TTC's picture is great, but I just really enjoy the tropical theme of urban's picture a bit more.

Yea, but not if you're looking into or from the same direction as the wind.  It's like looking at just the front of a building and saying, 'but most buildings also have sides and a back don't they?'

AND, Back to the competition.  I'll go for TTC.  It's just a really nice composition.

@hotdogs before you try to be sarcastic read the various ways of measuring different types of rainfall slants: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=slant+rainfall&btnG=Search

Rain does fall in a slant when it hits the ground bc of the winds as vester has mentioned. ~snipped by mod~
Now no more of this since its a picture contest not a debate or a place to make a mockery of people.
