First, an update on the stadium. ive added stuff to the waterfront endzone. I will be continuing to add details to the lower sections as well as fix the sideline seat trasistions from seat section to seat section.

now some more fun shots from the indoor beach.

veiw from the side. i've added stores like "Surf Shop" "beach Bar" "Pat Riot Grill and Bar" (also from Tropicana Mall) "CalaforniaISH pizza" "Pool Type Stuff!" and "Grater Suits Co." Ive also added stairs and started to work on the top part. The textures still need some work, but on the top ive got locker rooms/bathrooms, entrances, and some window displays that say "Welcome to paridise" "Indoor Beach" "Surf, Swim, Boat"

From the water

Partially under water. Where the mural switches from beach to underwater is where the water level is.

edit: oops forgot other pics! posting them right now.
these are all about a week old, but ive been so damn busy i havnt been able to post. many things havnt been textured yet, im working on detailing the endzones, then the side lines, then we will start building this thing up.

Not my finest model but my finest window texture.
I have some other pics but there are gaping errors in them too embarassing to show.

Coming together well here, my friend! I'm curious to see future developments!

Pat Riot

Arlight I've got a lot of pics ive been meaning to show since the 19th century...B.C.

This is a wooden bleacher prop I made for Travis, Im making another smaller crappier run downier version too. This was the grater high version, theres also a version with no grater, text, and the lightning wall is plain concrete.

it lights up at night. Snazy eh?

Now the stadium. Im lost on this one. The original plan was for the back to be waterfront, but i also want the sidelines and front endzone to be below ground like gillete. so what im thinking is making this one of those hill buildings, that is made to be placed on a hill.

Good job on the new bleachers, they'll compiment the field well.  A few questions however.  It seems to me that the seats them selves are too large.  Typically they will over hang the metal or cement(in this case) floor below them with room on the next level for people's feet, then the next one, on down the line.  These look to sit right on top of each level of cement, and actually be recessed a bit so that cement juts out in front of the seat(though not much.)  There's simply no where for peoples feet.

Also, I'd be curious to see how you've done the back and sides.

Lastly, I'd be willing to help you out with making models, as well as the modding to make timed props out of them.  It annoys me a bit (a lot actually &sly) to have a well made field or stadium and then have it be lifeless, and there's lots of 'em around.  Always thought that's something Maxis actually got right, and then most batters have just overlooked because they were in too much of a hurry.  Given I've got some experience in dealing with that area, I'd be glad to offer some aid.

Again, the look and feel really is well done.

Going along very nicely!  The night lights seem to complement the bleachers pretty well.
I also see that you have some lighting rig in 3ds max now  ;D

Pat Riot

chrisadams-yep i completely forgot about it...what i did was make a giant stair case, then just  add wood boxes where the seats are...shoulda paid more attention. but the back is like an entrance, with glass windows, doors etc.

Autovino-thanks. yep the bleachers where in gmax, but the stadium is 3ds. I also tried to get another thing (sun and sky or somthing) in, like you said, but it took to long to preview.

Pat Riot

Workin on this for travis.

do you think this is too short? and will the light cone work in game if i don't include the feild in the rendering?

JosefBrisko135

Really diggin' the stadium! When I want to do RayJay you deff. gotta help me out brotha!
Excellent work.

josef- haha i love raymond, the designs a bit boring, but that pirate ship kicks at sign dollar sign dollar sign.

just an update before pats game goes back on. Im starting to work on the endzone details, they are all improvised so I dont know where im going, but as you can see we have the main entrance, a restraunt (box seats because they are tiny details that won't show up well in game), and the pro shop will be on the left, ramps above, and then the banners will have from the ramps.

I just went through all my projects, deleted the ones ive stopped working on or failed.
I've come up with a list of everything i plan on doing, with the priorties too.

1. Monkey Island Monument for Schulmanator
2. Suburban Office park 3 (yes, the one ive been planning since april)
3. football stadiums (simpler, less complex ones)

Heres the park im working on for Schulmanators MD "Monkey Island", found in the Best Sellers section. I've put some stuff in all four corners, and think im done modeling. tell me if theres anything that needs work.

I will finish texturing tonight or tommorow afternoon.

top corners are gold banana fountains and open grass
bottom corners are curious goerge fountains with benches and walkways
thing in the center is the man himself, curious george, in a crown of bananas. Do you think the gradient i put over curious G's pic is too opaque? (as in it would be better to see more details?)

edit: getting pic  :P

Krio

Excellent stuff here Grater Leader  ;D Start texturing, I want to see these in full glory :P

OMG could it be Fenway?? that sure looks like the green monster!! GO SOX!! ;D

A simple but very effective park Pat. Nice work. As for the football field perhaps "scruffing" it up a bit (dirt traiils in centre) might make it look better? It depends on what your looking for of coarse. I haven't used lights yet so I can't accurately comment on it but it looks ok ()stsfd()
Take care..
