Update 11:

A stroll down the Westside Connector as it winds it's way through town.

Going West to East across the middle of town.

Some random pictures from around town.

The mosaics are looking very great! Also the pictures are nice! Wonderful using of that water!

Those mosaics were incredible, amapper! I love the highway snaking through the town, and the railroad networks look great, too! I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing what you're up to next!

thundercrack83 - Thank you. The next major project is the airport expansion mentioned in the Lexington Journal's front page. I want to include some tunnel work, among other things.

Great update.  I love your mosaics they look just amazing.  I love the way you make little research areas with the ponds.  That's exactly how I see those areas pop up in RL and I love that idea.  Great job!

     * Thanks, I'll get some close-up shots of the rail yard next.

     * As I've mentioned earlier, I tend to build on every available lot so I am making an effort to spread things out, especially in the suburbs. Yes, I have always liked mosaics and finally sat down and figured out that Infanview did them. The last one didn't merge well though...my fault. Glad you're enjoying the region.

Update 13:

kwakelaar

You're showing some quite exceptional skills here in the lay out of your city. I think the mosaic from three updates back is a very good one. I like the combinations you have made with the different kinds of infrastructure and a few taller buildings, it all fits very.

Wow man - what drug did you take to come with such excellent updates in such a short time?  I especially like the midtown tunnel as shown in the 2nd mosaic of update 11...  &apls.

Update 14:

The "Hellhole Bog" at the end of Long Lake is a wild area with deer and wild  boar.

A fine example of incredibly imaginative artistry using Jeronij's new plopable water. Excellent work.

That's a beautiful looking mosaic there! Wonderful work on that area!

Hi, there, amapper,

Your region has some very remarkable features.     Your transit system looks different somehow; I can't quite put my finger on it, but the look of the highways and roads is different and more true to life.   &Thk/(  If you've mentioned a modd, please forgive my inattention.

You also use the natural elements very convincingly.  I, too, am surprised at the versatility of the painted desert modd.  Few dams portrayed are as faithful to what's out there.  Is the dam on that gorgeous mountain lake I see in the lower right of your region shot? The lake is a little different than Peg's and wasn't Jeroni's TPW yet; is it Citynut's set?  Or could it be that rural canal set I saw on Tout Sim City?   :-\  Whatever it is, it sits in the lap of the mountains quite well. Finally, you've totally captured the US growth areas, those small cities that attract urbanites weary of the challenges of the metro area.  It looks like your infrastructure will more than hold up.

Good work, here, and thanks for the engaging read.  I wish you good thoughts in your further building and chronicling of the area, and will enjoy going along for the ride.

Bye for now.

     * It is really a neat tool. I'm sure there is much more that can be done with it by some of the more skilled members.

     * Thanks bat. I am still a little rough on the blending part...

     * Hey thanks for the thoughtful response. The transit system is a mod:

The dam's lake is Peg's pond kit, though I'd like to try one with jeronij's plopable water.

Thanks to all for the interest and encouragement!

That bog is extraordinary, my friend! Very creative use of the ploppable water! I'll be looking forward to seeing what else you have up your sleeve!

tkirch

That BOG IS GREAT.  You did that perfectly.  That in itself is a work of art.

     * Thanks for that! Creating those lots is what's creative.

     * It's really cool how you can plant trees and stones in it. Looks so life-like.
