I am trying to make a pier lot.

No one has made a small pier that could extend into Peg's ponds that people could fish off of or walk out on.

I figure I have to make it so it extends out into the pond like an overlapping lot but have no idea.

I think I am way over my head on this but going to give it a try.  Any help or suggestions would be great.

Looking at the editor I have really have no idea to go about this.  Just not enough knowledge to be feasible with it

Filasimo

if im not mistaken in order to make it a overhang u have to adjust the building occupant size so u can extend it over the tiles

First you do need the model. Do you have the pier model?
second, check filasimo's point about the prop size, so you can place a big prop on a small lot

Show us the model, and maybe we can help you better  ;)

Yeah,

I have absolutely no model, was trying to do it in lot editor with any props I have.  I am raw when it comes to batting and lot editing.

jeronij

I understand.
The only tip that comes to my mind that could be helpful to you:

If you want to place a prop which is bigger than the lot
a) make the lot as big as necessary, until the prop that you want shows in the props list
b) Place the prop on the lot
c) turn the lot the its original size

It should work in most of the cases  ;D

I have a question about extended lots also. In many of the wall packs I find really great stairs, unfortunately they don't allow commuters walking on them I believe, I don't see people on them walking. I wanted to change that with placing a NAM piece on the slope and placing an extended stairs lot next to it, with the stairs overlapping the NAM piece. With a parking lot or WW_pedestrian tiles on either side of the NAM tile, I can now have people walking up the stairs..

But I can't seem to make an extended lot using the stairs, I used mas71's stairs and I tried overlapping the stair-prop..but still when I place it, it needs 2 tiles wide in the game. Can anybody help me with this problem?

capo, some part of the prop must stay inside the lot always. If the prop is not rendered off set, you wont be able to do what you want to do  ::)

You should give a try to the BAT and render some nice stairs yourself  ;) . Who knows ?. Maybe you'll even like it  ;D

Thanks for your quick reply jeronjij,

Oh oh, I knew this day would once come, the day I had to start using BAT..
BAT 'scares' me a little to tell you the truth, when I see the pics or read the tutorials..I get confused ()what() . I've been avoiding it with using the LE and Ilives reader and LEProp, I guess now it's time to dive into the deep :D

Dont fear it. It is like a a big Lego, with unlimited pieces and paints. Once you get used to the technical language, the only limit to create pieces, assembly and paint them is your imagination   ;) ( and willness  :D )
