CHAPTER 1- THE BEGINING OF A BEAUTIFUL FUTURE

So it was on a sunny Saturday afternoon when the Vance family decided to leave the city of North City, and head out into the country. That day, the family had a moving truck and some movers help transport their belongings to a rural/suburban area just outside of North City. On the way, the truck stalled and since they were traveling on the interstate, they were forced to pull over to the shoulder to check up on the truck. No problems were found, but the group decided to walk to the nearby State Route 523 Exit to find help. Once they had arrived at the exit, they found nothing except fields and farms for as far as the eye could see. Natalie's dad was known for his vision for a better future, so he envisioned a bustling city with many places to eat, live, and work. And all at the same time promote a city where people all could have the same vision. He said to Natalie "Wow, imagine what this could be..." she said nothing, but the movers said that there was an open area of land about 20 miles up the road. Natalies dad requested to be driven to the land immediately, after being told that it was being given away for a meager amount of money.  The group traversed 20 miles of rural road until they stopped atop a high mountain, where the road curved giving a great view of the land, what Natalie's dad had seen made him smile...

-A view of a distant mountain

"Wow..." her dad softly said, the family hadn't seen such a plain landscape with so much vacant land in a long time, and something like this was exactly what he was looking for. But out in the distance, he saw what appeared to be a lake with no source, odd...

-View of sourceless lake

Even though odd, the lake itself was beautifuly positioned to the father. He requested they drive closer, but there was no rad to continue on. But the group walked. What they saw next as they walked for 30 minutes through the lightly dense forset was the equivelant of an oasis in a desert...

-View of future town center.

"What?" the father said as he couldnt belive his eyes, there was a palm tree with flowers around it, but this couldnt be, someone had to of made this. But as the father walked towards it, out of the corner of his eye he saw a piece of writing nailed to the palm. "CITY OF FORSYTH" . "What is that name, it sounds so weird but it sounds realistic" said the father. Natalies mother stepped in saying "Must be a bunch of kids messing around" .

-Another view of the so called "oasis"
The group left, but beofre then the father placed an offer of 900,000$ on the land, but the owner couldnt be found. As it turned out the owner had left the whole area all-together. The land was then evaluated by the North City government, and sold to the Vance's at 250,000$. In 2 months, the family had managed to scrape up enough money to build a home with a smaller home next to it for workers to build and construct the future city...

-Family house along with smaller worker living area, along with family owned farm and power source.

The family went to bed that night, but Natalie snuck out to the family farm to go stargazing. She had never been to a place where the lights in the sky aren't from light pollution or from planes or helicopters. It was simply gorgeous, and the next day she woke up out on the farm realizing she had falled asleep next to a hay bail.

CHAPTER 2 - THE SIGNS OF EXPANSION

After only a week of living in the unincorporated village of Forsyth, Natalie's dad, Daniel, called up his friend Bernie Lucas to tell him about how the new place he lived in was, and Bernie replied to what he said saying "Are you mad? That little square you think is so cute and quiet was the scene of a deadly massacare of Indians!" Daniel was speechless, saying that if he knew he would of payed honor to the lost Indians, but it was obviously too late to turn back now... The small town was starting to show signs of progress. Daniels friend Bernie decided to follow the Vance family's footsteps and escape the city. The whole family from both the Vance and Lucas family were moved into the towns newly build Southside.

-Image of the Southside of Forsyth.

The whole Lucas and Vance family's moved in, all happy to meet eachother in the small settlement, it had quickly gone from a small area of 5 people to a huge change (at least for Forsyth) to 77 people. The locally owned Vance Farm didn't have adequate food supplies to support the growing population, thus the Lucas Farm was built on the towns Eastside.

-Image of the Lucas Farm

The small town, now considered that after the huge growth, was basically a random city in the forest. The city so far had only one major industry being farming, and needed money to keep funding going for future town expansion. A small dirt road was henceforth build leading from the Lucas Farm out to South Street.

-Image of the Lucas Farm backroad.

Along with new farming expansions to the East, new commercial opportunities were being made in the North, the new Vance Family Vehicle Care repair garage was built by Natalies uncle, Jem. With this maintenance garage built, the families could repair vehicles and also 1 week after it being constructed started storing food farmed that was extra to be stored in it for future export.

Along with the new commercial opportunity on the North, Beautification, not Expansion was in the eyes of the Southsiders. The new Vance Park was built.

-The new Vance Park

Later in the month of May, 1 month after the small town was settled, the Vance and Lucas family had a huge argument over rations since some of the townsfolk weren't putting in full effort from both families, thus the Lucas family wanted to separate. The Lucas family decided to move out of the Southside and move up Northeast.

-The new Lucas family homes on the Northeastern area of the town.

Now tensions were growing between the Vance and the Lucas family so the two family leaders, Daniel and Bernie met at Vance Park to discuss and work out indifference's between the two families, things went well, and the two families made truce. The needs of the Lucas family were higher than what the Vance family thought, the family was more industrious and looked to work out at factories. So the two families had builders build the family a small industrial park on the Northside. Now all 3 job opportunities were in sight.

-View of the new Northside Industrial Park.

Expansion was now obviously focused towards the North, so the Lucas family introduced the new Lucas's Knick Knacks store along the new Main Street, wow, how'd the town already afford overhead street signals, thats sexy.

-Intersection of Main and North Streets.

-The new Lucas Family Store.

The town was slowly starting to turn into an Incorporated area, and news of this reached the North City Tribune. The people read about new developments, the most rapidly expanding town in all of the Greater North City Area... The town of Forsyth attracted attention from big name companies, thus one of those companies looked forward to starting construction on their new convenience store...

-The Construction Site for the New...

"What? Why would Petco want to build a chain way out here?" said Natalies dad, but it had sure happened, the town was getting obviously noticed and was attracting people.

-Petco... Random eh?

I like the story you're trying to describe.
I read it through google translator but I know what's going on :)
I suppose that your plugins folder is a small yet,but I think as you'll read the forum and look at other MD grow your plugins.
Unless you want to build a city based on Maxis building
You wrote an interesting story,You showed the beginnings of the city.Impatiently waiting for more pics and further development.

A great start you have here, Natalie. As Neofita said, you seem to have a small plugins folder, but the longer you stay on SC4D the more your plugins will grow. I really have found your story interesting, can't wait to see more!  :)

Well, I was thinking that you should try out some terrain and tree mods, there is quite a variety here on the LEX, on the STEX, and even over at ToutSimCities. They will greatly improve your natural landscapes, and I see that you already have the RRP flora, which looks excellent.

Some residential, industrial and commercial BATs can also improve your cities greatly. For residential I would download Matt (mattb325)'s homes first, there are a lot and there are dependencies that you must download first, but it is definitely worth the time to get them, your cities will look so great afterward. Also, if you feel that they would be right for your cities download Brian (c.p.)'s wonderful 19th century homes. They are more american, so if this is the style that you are going for they would be excellent.

Commercial wise, Jon (JBSimio)'s work is excellent, he made the Smalltown USA series which work perfectly in most situations and look great. Deadwoods has made some excellent retail stores, they are Australian brands but look wonderful in most cities. SimGoober has BATed many real-life brands, so take a look and see what you'd like.

Industry. Jess (jestarr) has made a ton of great industrial buildings. You can make great industrial districts out of his buildings. Marcszar also makes some great looking stuff, but his grow at higher stages and are somewhat large for the town you're working on right now. But, as it grows they could play a great part.

Hope this helps!  :)

Now I find it hard to recommend anything. My plugin has 6,8 GB at the moment.
After that, I am extremely meticulous in building the city.
And build a little differently.
Look for my topic.I deal with nature, industry and sometimes slums.Look also for other MD and forum topics.
The forum is a mass of links to the buildings that might interest you.
Yours and I look forward to further progress in the game.

That's a nice looking MD you have here. I also like the fact that your MD has a story in it. Concerning the plugins, I'd take a look at MD's similar to yours if you want to look for plugins that fit in with the direction you want to go with your MD (also a graet way to get inspired).

Take care

CHAPTER 3- RAPID GROWTH

The city right now was a very rural place to live, no neighbor connections whatsoever, but expected to be there soon. On April 26, 2010, Daniel Vance recieved a letter from the Government of North City, it was asking him to appoint himself as mayor and to establish Forsyth as an Incorperated are, and to join the list of the Greater North City Regions. Daniel was very happy to see this, his dream of expansion was quickly being built, he immediately replied with a letter of approval. 5 days later, May 1'st, 2010, at the edge of the Forsyth area contracters from the Western Suburbs area of North City started construction on a new interstate.

-View of the brand new "Western Freeway".

This was a very important event for Forsyth, as the Daniel realized that this would promote tourism and attract new residents. He smiled and laughed at the sight of the construction of the interstate already starting and progress was quickly made in a single day...

-View of the completed segment of the Western Freeway.

The next day, work crews from Forsyth joined the construction, eager for growth to the small town. Work crews from Forsyth were asked to make a median in the middle of both sides of the interstate, they immediately did so, being excited to finally have access to new jobs in the Western Suburbs and for new town growth. At the end of the day, the result of the whole groups effort created this.

-Result of a large amount of effor in one work day.

It was now May 3'rd, the begining of a very quickly built and innovative week for Forsyth. The North City Department of Transportation had heard of the extreme amount of progress made on the construction in less than one day and awarded Forsyth with a large group of North City Construction Workers. At the news of this, the whole group had been told by the NCDOT to build a rest area just before the town, so they started planning and building, by the end of the day, the result of their extreme effort got them this result.

-View of the new rest area ramp, constructed in one day, amazing.

But wait, contracters from the NCDOT noticed a huge error in their construction, the one lane exit bridge was improperly built so that insted of letting Westbound traffic get back on after the rest area was used, the ramp was accidentaly built to accomodate W-Bound traffic to loop around, obviously not part of the plan... But beofre the problem could be resolved, a new site of construction was seen at once again, the Eastern edge of Forsyth. What could it possibly be this time?

-View of...

Good :D I really like the dawn shot of the western freeway, there used to be a mod that allowed you to remove the neighbor connection arrow on the STEX, but I can't seem to find it

Well, that mod is still on the STEX, it's by ebina, just search his name.

You did a great job! You certainly have done a great job with the RHW, it took me quite a few months to get the hang of it. Hope to see some more soon!

CHAPTER 4- PROBLEMS RESOLVED

-View of future sight for rail transportation.

So it was now May 4'th and the problem with the rest area off ramp was yet to be resolved, but new sightings towards the east were observed, and what was seen were overnight workers building the railroad that was planned to stop at the rest area and continue through Forsyth and keep heading out west until it reached Destis City... Around 6 AM on the May 4'th morning, after the overnight crew had left, what was completed was this.

-View of completed rail segment.

This was a simply astounding moment for Daniel as he had the chance to experience a moment when he felt such success. All of the plans for the future City of Forsyth were in place... Back in Downtown Forsyth, both the Lucas and Vance families were discussing a new idea... They wanted to build new worker housing in the northern part of the town just for construction workers working from the eastern part of the new interstate (Western Fwy) and from the west digging out the land for the continuation of the Western to turn into Forsyth Pkwy and end at an intersection with Main Street. Workers began construction on this new housing, and by May 10'th, houses for workers were complete.

-New worker housing.

Meantime, back at the road construction site, the Western Suburbs of North City proposed a county line to split the maintenance costs of construction in half for each city, Forsyth was being drained of money due to the project, so a county line was made just after the rest area.

-Image of county line.

Natalies father had started to receive notes from the NCDOT saying they wanted the Forsyth County section of interstate to be named Forsyth Parkway, but the design was all up to him, he quickly decided on this and by May 16'th a section was already done.

-Imaage of a small segment of the Forsyth Pkwy.

Back at the rest area, it was a May 17'th afternoon, and the work crews were getting ready to start the days work. Unfortunately, the news of the faulty exit ramp wasn't sent to the group so an overhead ramp was built in the opposite direction of the new plan.

-View of faulty overhead ramp.
