If you're trying to improve you're city building skills, then this is defiantly the way to do it! (Taking a break from your CJ and doing something completely different, gives you a chance to try out new ideas, I do this sort of stuff all the time.) I'd love to see you have a go at Photoshop too, a lot of people don't like it, but then a lot of people think it can really increase how realistic your city looks.
Anyways, looks like you're off to a fantastic start, great Euro looking city! These things always look fantastic when you fill them out, especially if they have a canal system as awesome as that!

Limited Edition

The construction continues. I was going to sleep, but talking with Pat Riot urged me to build some Zooropa. At morning I had 25 % of the city built and populated, but damn crashing. Now I show you some new overviews, name the districts, showing the Old Marina and focus of this update will be on Theatre District. Also I shall give replies.

TopCliff: Yes, Cal made damn fine job with the bridge and I always like to use it when its possible. But what happened to dude
jeronij: Thank you, actually I'm thinking to merge this to Qaddro and continue with name Krioan or Qaddro: Limited Edition. Only problem is, that people have gave too low rating to Qaddro without commenting and people don't visit it.
Pat Riot: Yes it is, but it isn't the version what comes from my prop pack. That is the test version, because I haven't lotted the actual one.

Cockatoo-n: They are not canals! They are rivers and making rivers using canals give you more chance to make more awesome thingies, as you can see from today's update. I will start using photoshop when I get nightshots taken, I made some photoshopping for actual city photos, but I deleted them because I didn't want to edit all photos.

What is remaing from old harbour of Zooropa. Tourist attraction and joyrides, because the river Elevation isn't very clean. Actually its full of crap and authorites pour blue colour to it make it look better.



This doesn't make ANY SENSE!



The heart of Theater District is full of expensive shops, studios, nightclubs and there is actually few theatres which gave them for the district hundred years ago.



Regal Theater and Hotel is the most classy theater. And there is a concert which is must see. I mean, how many times dead artist comes to play some awesome guitar?



Theater District was known before of its theatres, but now its known by its billboards. As you can see, in Zooropa tobacco advertising is legal. Kite Toystore is one of the oldest stores in the area and it was first building which got advertising on its wall. Now there is only few toy ad and most of the billboards advertise products which aren't healthy for your kids.

the waterfront on RIVER looks great, im surpised peg's shiz works on plain land. Im amazed hendrix is coming back from the dead to play in your city, but first hes going to have to find away to avoid falling into the river while trying to enter the building lol

You have an interesting start. I don;t see any pink cars yet... but, then again, it is still being built!
I am interested to see what new stuff you incorporate into this.

I like how it's shaping up so far, but the only thing I can see wrong is the rather unfortunate positioning of the Regal Theatre. Maybe you just need a street in front?

Limited Edition

As I said in the first post, this journal will have all politics etc. thingies and I'm working on them while building the city, but let me show you the flag of Zooropa and I also give replies so there will be less writing in the update

Pat Riot: In the wall (Kite Toystore) what is opposite the Japanese BAT, it has Mild Seven tobacco advertisment. Half of it can be also seen in the crossroad-picture behind AppleBox. Isn't the main entrance of Regal in the thinner part of the building, which is now next to road? I've always thought that the long part is just secondary entrance and sims can walk into it

Schulmanator: It is a collector's item! And with flag, I used something that you gave me when I started Qaddro For pink cars, read my reply to Shadow Assassin.
Shadow Assassin: Indeed you're right! No pink cars because Zooropa isn't part of Republic of Qaddro. For Regal, read what I wrote to Pat Riot. If its buggin' you guys, I'll make a street / pedestrian mall in front of the lesser facade.

FLAG OF ZOOROPA



As many other cities, Zooropa also has its own flag. Green and silver represents the nature and wealth of the citizens. Two black cats represent the lost love of the founder of the city of Zooropa. Story is too sad to be told and there were talks to remove second cat from the flag, but then Zootopians would have forced to add some other animal like PBear to flag and it was too much.

Ah, I think you need the Avenue Mod that removes the grass from the sides and centre of the avenue. It doesn't look to flash in built up areas. (If you want it and can't find it then ask me and I'll get you a link)
Other than that, looking good. I like the outline of the Puma's / Panthers or whatever, looks like a great flag.

The regal is designed for a street corner, both entrances facing a street. Ive always considered the one under the sign the main entrance, but it could go either way. Im a lil dissapointed in the lack of graters on that flag krio

Time for update, eh I'm quite fed up for SC4, it crashes even if I don't do anything.. But I managed to build some more (3 crashes) and take pictures (one crash). Because of crashing, city hasn't grow much, but I can show something new.

Cockatoo-n: Avenue mod didn't worked because of JRJ's mod and I can't remove it. Or I can, but I would need to delete all BSC files thanks to datpacker..and glad that you like the flag

Graterman: Critic mode is necessary, we don't want to be Lord HawHaws, do we I took of the Regal and I put it pack when I can scroll down the landmark menu before crashing.. This is not VALTIO I could though make a seal which would have graters..

House of Senate of province of Zooropa.
Some political stuff here: Zooropa is capital of Zooropa province, which basicly is city and its suburbs. Zooropa Metropolitan Area goes over province's borders and Metropolitan Area has is own council which assembles in Red Hill Mining Town - the second largest city in ZMA, located in Zooropa province.

Two of the greatest monuments of Zooropa, October Gate and Tomorrow Tower.
October Gate was built in 1882 for victory over Portugal. First October Gate was going to be a generic Victory Arch, but then it was build as a gate that it could serve as a toll booth for market square next to it. In 1953 there was plans to demolish it to make space for new office building, but it was saved.
Tomorrow Tower was the second skyscraper of Zooropa and currently is 5 highest skyscraper of the city with height of 135 metres. Critics say that it destroyes the scenery, because other buildings are max 6 stories high. Defendants say that globe of the tower is great landmark and piece of art which makes it special among other art deco-skyscrapers in the city. Other scrapers are located in CBD and Dolf districts.



October Square has outdoor art exhibits. These statues are called as "Wave of Sorrow" and apparently they eat walls. In October Square is also metrostation, called "October Square". How original.

Arena House, another landmark of Zooropa thanks to its shape. Arena House originally was office building for trade of harbour but because harbour is now for tourism only, Arena House houses small boutiques and theatre.



Harbour Area had industry during good ol' times, but now factories are transformed for museums, living quarters, nightclubs etc. In the picture is Museum of Seafaring and it has "graveyard" for sailors who were lost in sea. So no actual bodies.



TEASER! CBD is coming up!
The burnt up building was headquartes for Elevation Bank, but it was hit by car bomb two days ago. Mafia was trying to kill one crooky businessman, but poor mobsters did use too much TNT and they killed 329 civilians because after explosion huge fire started and many people were trapped thanks to damage caused by bomb. And oh yes, businessman was killed too but so were 4 mobster, one of them was later indentified as right hand man of Don Arpeggi.

Ooh, CBD looks nice . . . great use of that demolished building. I find it stereotyped how it's always mobsters using TNT. Ah forget it. Reminds me of the incident in the Phillipines where two governemtn agents were smoking over a pile of confiscated explosives and blew up their own HQ. Can't wait for more.
