Custom content does not grow

Sorry for the bother, but there is no other place I could ask this question.

I have been eliminating Maxis content from the game by using BSC No Maxis Files.

The cities work brilliantly, except that in new cities nothing grows, except agriculture. If I remove the building block, maxis stuff grows. In the past it used to be that I would simply save, exit, replace the building block and then custom content would grow normally.

Recently, however, nothing grows at all.

I have quite extensive plugins, but before I start removing them one by one to check the problem I wished to see if anyone had that problem and whether there is a way to fix it.

You might not have a lot of Stage 1 custom content. If you are looking for low stage residential and commercial.. C.P. (Cycledogg a.k.a Cyclepuppy) has some some nice residentials and JMyers has some nice commericals (Both Available on the LEX)

You might also want to search Madhatter106 on the STEX for a variety of low stage commercial buildings.

i had the exact same thing happen years ago, and most likely wes is spot on with the problem. not a lot people make content to be stage 1. you can either hunt for lower stage content, or modify some content you already have.

I use Sim City 4 Deluxe and custom content grows brilliantly in established cities, but new cities struggle. I think lack of stage 1 is indeed the problem. I'll try it out and return with a verdict.

Sometimes it helps selecting only one building style till something gets build.
It happens to me quite a lot. If I have all building styles selected nothing grows, then I switch to one style and my town turns into one big construction site. After something has been build I can turn on the other building style without a problem.
