U77: Fenghuang GC

Heya and welcome to the seventyseventh update of my CJ Dragon Islands....

Today we're going to have a look at the (in DI pretty famous) Fenghuang GC, unless it's name it's (luckily) located at Gu Miaò. (Fenghuang is a neighbouring city and I'm rebuilding it in the moment because I lost it)

You might notice very different cinds of coast design, depending on the 'evolution step' in which they where buildt.

Fore!

I hope you've liked it, greetings, Skimbo!

Ah... I wish i could make golf course that beautiful... nice job Skimbo. I really liked this update, but specially the last mosaic showing the golf course, the coast and the houses, it's very well done. I hope you don't mind if I get some inspiration from your MD.. :)

Take care,
-Arthur.

@art128: Great you like the golf courses that much =) I think my Golfset might help to get you started on building nice courses, you can find it on the STEX.
@RickD: Thankya!
@noahclem: The only thing I was missing was a very nice lighthouse bat for the cap area.......

Great update, also the previous with the golf course. &apls

Beautiful update Skimbo! You're truly a master of railroads  &apls  I love the way your rail stations are designed, combining two separate ones to look like one large one (title picture and the last picture). I've never really been a HSRP fan but seeing  DI makes me want to start using it ;)

To answer your comment, there was a pretty nice lighthouse released on the STEX not too long ago: http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/26403-bodie-island-lighthouse/

Looking forward to more  :thumbsup:

I like the way you set the trains in scene. Every single picture has this "certain something" that I cannot explain. I'm not really into trains and stations, but that's a great update!

Once again, I'm completely blown away by the careful skill used in placing all the MMP stuff. That is a unique characteristic of this MD. It isn't easy, I can tell. Some may claim you use too much MMPs, but ya know what? They probably* couldn't make cities as beautiful as you can (and neither could I!)

*(If you can, and I'm mistaken, I recant my statement and apologise in advance.)

@nbvc: Thankya!
@noahclem: thank yu! HSR is really nice, first it really ads realism, second the network it replaces is not needed anyways so it's a great addition to the game. USE IT! =)
@rambuckel: Thankya!
@Risu: Just thanX! =)

U79:Fenghuang - Ying Chào

Heya and welcome to the seventyninth update of my CJ Dragon Islands....

Now that we've reached Fenghuang Shì I'm goig to show you some impressions of Ying Chào district. This area is located on an half island, sourrounded by cliffs on the district's north, west and southside. The most expansive part of the city might also be the most 'crazy' when it comes to citybuilding.... but the citizens got their own opinion about building highrises right on the edge of a cliff.....

But why did they get the idea about settling at such a place? Well the legend tells, as usual for DI, about a dragon who founded it.... But the reason might also be the pretty good position for a castle. When standing on a highrise's roof today (or on the edge of the cliffs in earlier time) you've got a great view of all the area around you. Gu miao to the east, Shì Haiwan to the northeast, Yuki and Shì Yan to the north, Liu shi to the northwest, Chóng de and Dazhu to the west, Shì Luna to the southwest and Huo Dao to the south......

The city currently has 'only' about 300.000 inhabitants, nevertheless a CBD like a big city. Many commuters use the HSR coming from Shì Yan, the DINorthern and Fenghuang Rail commuter services towards the city coming from places like Zhenzu wan, Shuijing wan and even up to Nan Shì. Of course there is also a motorway leading towards thoose many palces but parking in the city center is very expansive, P+R does only randomly exist.

I hope you've liked this update, greetings, DragonSkimbo.

Wow, I like how it looks. Usually i'm not a big fan of skyscrapers cities on hills like that, but I have to say that this one is very particular and eye catching. In fact, the small details added here and there between the towers are truly excellent.

Can't wait for the next update!

Very interesting (and impressive) update Skimbo  &apls

Most importantly, the cliffside city concept is fairly new to me and is executed exceptionally well. The boulevard with twin OWR-3s and the nice median looks very nice. I found myself debating whether it would be better done that way or with separated halves of MAVE-6 and decided I like your way best. Truly nice pictures with unique detail and perspectives  :thumbsup:

QuoteUSE IT! =)

Haha, maybe I take your advice!

The skyscrapers look spectacular on that cliff.  :thumbsup:
