Passenger Ferries

Hi all,
  Lets start this off with the obligatory I don't know if this belongs here, but Passenger Ferries are networked so...

  I have been trying to make a passenger ferry, and would appreciate a little help.  I have the CSG basic ferry pontoon, so I know custom PFs are possible (and perhaps out of strictly NAM bounds).
  So far I have been able to make a 1x3 lot that: Is in the correct menu, and has the non-road-side lot a water lot. I have tested this plop on the same tile space that I know the CSG works, but to no avail.  A quick look at the reader shows I am missing many stats compared to the CSG pontoon.
  I just had the idea that maybe I need to tell the game that this lot should turn a ferry into a pedestrian, so I will look at that for now.  Thanks.
