If this is in the wrong place, that apologies in advance.

Been away from the game for quite a while, but I am slowly getting back into it.

I would like to know if it possible remove the standard buildings from the actual DAT files in the main maxis install folder, and if so how is this done?

The reason I ask is that I have been using the maxis blocker mod thing for years and I still sometimes get the odd maxis building growing in my cities which is a bit of a pain. The other reason is so that when my plugins folder becomes ever larger, the game is not wasting its time reading buildings that are only going to be blocked anyway.

By the way, I love the great additions to the LEX and I would like to thank each and every CC creator for uploading such brilliant works, and I appreciate the time and effort you have all put into creating such improvements to such a good game.  &apls

I wouldn't recommend it...
If you're still having Maxis buildings growing, despite having all blockers installed,
then you're probably having custom, relotted versions of the Maxis buildings growing.

As long as you've got those relots in your plugins, those would still be growing.
And if you would remove them from SimCity_1.dat, you'd be growing brown boxes instead...

Thus, you'd probably need to find those custom lots using ingame buildings and remove them from your plugins instead.
