Hello :)

I'm a big fan of grids, while i also use more organic styles for hills, craters, rivers e.t.c.. This is my idea about an effective grid system and i also want your advises. Roads are important, but i don't wanna use the too much. So here is my propose...

It looks boring but some modifications will make it more interesting. Any suggestion is welcomed :)

P.S.: Sorry for the too much SimMars pictures, but my original SimEarth version of Simcity is out of service for a while, just for the creation of a nice mod ;D

^^ Well, that's the problem with grids: they look boooooooring.

You can make it look more interesting by doing one or more of these things:
- Remove some streets.
- Turn a entire block into a park
- Add some extra diagonal roads

My Terran cities have already plenty of diagonal streets and roads, as well as many parks. My Martian colonies too, but without diagonal streets $%Grinno$%
My question however is not only about the grids themselves, but also the roads placements. I thing that this plan provide enough roads for smoother traffic, without having the city planner complain about too much roads.
