downloaded residential lot Blurry black area... returns to normal under query

now, this is weird... the ploppable version is fine... but a residential growable lot shows as a blurry black area, when i select query to see what is is the lot shows the actual building perfectly... and when I move the query off the lot onto another it returns to a black blurry area again... Why is it doing this? and how does the query option correct it when it is over the lot?? this is VERY weird... and it is boggling my mind... and i don't know how could query fix it because query is only supposed to show lot information... I just can't wrap my mind around it? can someone explain??
