Yoman; Well, to lighten you up a little, the bridge plans may be called off because of lack of funding for that area. ::)
(Even though they really do have a tons of money, but won't use it to save for future generations.)
thundercrack83: Heh, i like to make mountain roads, it's fun , anyway to move up it's 800 views, right?

This update i'll be showing some pics of Sylteosen, a small town in the middle of the countryside, with a little bit of farming surrounding it, please don't mind my poor way of making farms though, not exactly an expert at it, and i can't use too much custom content farms either, because either the farm stuff is Mediterranian, or American, evenAsian... :'(
But oh well.. Some overviews:

As you can, there's roads from all times here, The double lane road replaced the old 1/5 lane road in 1965
Before that you had to either use the 1/5 lane road, or the very narrow 1 lane road leading into the town.
The 1 lane road is old. Even older than the town itself. it even dates back to year 800. When this town used to be a very important trading spot, in the viking era, though those are long gone times, now the town is just mostly popular among tourists and people from the Lavanger or Vandals Fjella urban area who are after having a good time at the local pubs, buy some fresh poatotes, strawberries, or other things on the local outdoor market,  it sure is a break from the usual supermarket. The oldest houses there date back to the 1700's.

This farm here often left in the shadows of the mountain , is called Granlia , it's not always in the dark, but sometimes get the shadows from the mountain, at times like this, it's like a portal between night and day there.

Apple Plantations such as these as you see up  in the picture, are quite common in the countryside here, this one is rather small, but just wait till you see the fruit and apple plantations further along the fjords!

Nothing much to say here...

And here you can see more of the old road, it's still pretty popular and widely used, mostly because it's got a more scenic view than the 2 lane road, and it's more relaxing than just speeding past the little village in 80kmh...
Oh, wait there's something suspicious going on in the forrest there by the house, we'll get back to that.. &Thk/(

In the meantime, why not just take a closer look at the charming little town? :)

Some of it was set on fire by a pyromaniac in the 1960's, so it has later on been replaced by newer buildings. The newest from 1995, those are the rowhomes.

From the opposite view, you got the small streets lined with small houses , and also a small patch of asphalt for truckers to park their trucks to get some sleep.

From the bottom; the historic parts, this is the oldest part of town ,This is where it get's lively in the summer times at night, where young people from the cities come for a visit and sometimes go on a complete wrecking tour.

Here's a smaller picture, of the market stalls and fountain.

And here you can see the historic part from the top, the newer buildings aren't at all as popular as the old ones.
It's actually where the lower wealth businesses are, like kebab places, second hand shops, and even seedy types.

Just 50 metres away from the little cluster of houses, there's the town's local memorial for world war 2, it's a house that got bombed because that a bunch of Jewish people hid there, and one of the local tailors ratted them out and told the Germans. For a sum of $40 to todays current rates, over 30 people lost their lives because of that man.

So anyway, back to the suspicious activity in the woods:

Aha, illegal arms deals! Tsk tsk tsk, SFBT, Oh well, let em carry on, i ain't gonna bother calling the filth... (No pun intented, just a little joking to liven it up a little)

The ferry terminal on the other side, this one crosses the end of the fjord, named Ellnesvågen.
I decided not to to show the other side of the ferry route, for obvious reasons; it looks exactly the same!!!! :D

I'm fairly certain it's 1000 views, but I'm not exactly sure how David (dedgren) does it. Either way, you're almost there!

Another great update! Wonderful work!

Congrats on more than 100 comments... &apls

Mulefisk

Great stuff as always, Glenni!

If you need farms, you should try the ones by simgoober. They're the only ones I could find that look remotely Norwegian.

Expansion;

I'm expanding my MD, it now includes a new section called North Vandals Fjella.(It's still the same country, it's not two seperate countries!)
Also some parts of this region borders Sweden and Russia. ( As Norway does in real life.)

Here's a few teasers from what i have been working on.

We'll take a trip to North Western Russia:

Severomorsk a small city started in the 1950's Soviet Era.As many other Soviet cities this one was planned, and the streets are very rectangular.

Poljarnyj, a small village close to the Vandals Fjellian border.

Prosperity, or should we say Neglectance?

Please note that names, cities, roads, rails or anything are not supposed to be geographically correct.
Everything you see here, except for the Freight Rail Station, and power lines are also my lotting work by the way. ;)
Some of the props seen here, like the propaganda signs, are also mine.

Great update, Glenni! These three pictures are looking fantastic!

Yoder7652

very nice glenni...I really like your countryside shots (the farmground in particular). The shot with the power plant and all the leafless trees surrounding is also a classic. well done.

Emperor Stormont

Those pics look fantastic, love the stark leafless tress, such a powerful image and works very well.

Great update, Glenni! I love the expansion you've done, particularly into Russia. The Soviet propaganda is fantastic! I'll be looking forward to seeing more of the whole area!

Super updates.  The map is coming along great.  I really like the last picture with the large bill board, very realistic looking.

It's Peter Svenson's house , he's the local angry and crazy swede, every norwegian town has or should have that, mine has plenty! ;D
