I did a search about this but, since I found nothing, I decided to post this request.

I wanted to turn the jeronij cul-de-sacs into a replacement mod (the cul-de-sacs would depend on zone density and wealth, since the original TE lots are categorized by those two atributes) but I don't know how to do it.

Can someone do this, or give me guidance on how to do it? What tools do I need? What steps to follow? Tutorials, anything.

PS: To the moderators: If this should be placed in the Textures Request Thread instead of here, please move this topic.

This can be done in Reader, but you will also probably want a image editing program to make this look nice.

Turning Jeronij's cul-de-sacs into a replacement mod is a little tricky.  This download is TE lots that one places on the end of a road to replace the "end" texture.  Other cul-de-sac downloads are Mods that replace the "end" texture itself.  I would recommend opening Street Cul-de-sac Mod by Qurlix in Reader to see how this is done.

To make it functional you would take Jeronij's textures, found in BSC Textures Vol03, copy them into a new file, and change the instances to match those in Qurlix's mod.  I can say that the textures are spread out in BSC Textures Vol03, but the ones I found start at Instances a52c0000, a5371000, and a5400000.

So, you don't really need the TE lot download to do this (although you may want trees in the center, which is something I have no idea about.  There also may be some pathing to do, and also out of my pay grade).

The tough part is making this look good.  The street textures do not have sidewalks, and Jeronij's Textures do.  In order to see the proper sidewalks you would have to export his textures, color the sidewalks white, and then re-import them.

Thanks for all the info.

I'll get those tools and files and see what I can learn.

I don't know if I'll be able to come up with something since I have no experience at modding sc4 and no ability to use tools like photoshop.
But at least I'll try to learn as much as I can.

Thanks again.
